As far as I remember, we of the Anchorage group decided to continue meeting every 4th Thursday, with meetings for the time being set to 7.00 PM at the Denny's on Denali & Benson. Could anyone confirm then that a meeting is to take place tonight, Dec. 27?

Hey Mel,
I was wondering where you were last week. It's actually the third thursday not the 4th. I posted on the wiki calender, but not here. I'll have to remember to do both from now on. :-) Hope to see you next month.

Ah damn! Okay I'll get it straight then: third Thursday of the month. Yes, reminders would be helpful! However, I won't be able to make it in January either as I'll be in Seattle then. So see you all in February.

Just a reminder that we are meeting tomorrow at Denny's 7:00. I will be there, but unless I find a babysitter I will have my two kids with me, so I will be leaving early.

Thanks for the reminder!

I won't be able to make it as I'm flying to Seattle to visit my partner for a few days, but I wish productive writing & fun to everyone who will be there, & I'll see you next month.

Today's the third Thursday of the month. So doesn't that mean 7:00 PM at Denny's on Denali & Benson again tonight?

Mel--

Did you go to Dennys on Thursday? Was anyone else there?

Kim is out of town and I was planning on being there but ended up staying home sick.

Kim will be back for next month.

Yep, there were six of us there. I ended up not getting a lot of writing done there (lots of talking!), but managed to put out 650 words or so before I went to bed that night, which I wouldn't have done had I not gone. So it was good. :-)

Sorry we missed you. Hope you're feeling better!

I'll be glad to take responsibility to send out reminders to Anchorage wrimos a couple days ahead of meetings via this forum or through direct email for anyone who wants to send their email address to me at yksinainen@gmail.com. (I'll plug a little alarm into my Palm calendar to remind me to do it.)

A reminder also to Anchorage folks about our wiki (anyone can edit) website at https://arcticwoollywrinos.pbwiki.com/ -- I'll be glad to send the password to get in to any Anchorage wrimo who emails to ask me for it.

Here's your NaNoWriMoRemindo that Thursday March 20th is the third Thursday of the month -- which means 7:00 PM at Denny's on Denali & Benson that night. See you there, I hope.

Here's your NaNoWriMoRemindo that, today, Thursday April 17th is the third Thursday of the month -- which means 7:00 PM at Denny's on Denali & Benson tonight. See you there, I hope.

But sorry I didn't get the reminder out earlier -- I forgot! in spite of a reminder I got earlier this week. Which was Heather's suggestion at our little Anchorage NaNo wiki :

was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a share-and-comment thing: Bring something you wrote, like a short story or a scene from a long piece (with... like a crib sheet of what you'd need to know by that point in the story) and trade with one or two other people for comments, critiques, help, that sort of thing. Any takers?

Hopefully people interested in this idea will have a chance to put something together by tonight.

Here's your NaNoWriMoReminder for tonight's meeting:

Forgot to send this out earlier -- but Heather reminded me a few days ago that the third Thursday of the month comes rather earlier this month than expected.

I.e., tonight!

So, Denny's at 7:00. And if you can, bring a clip of something you've written with two or three copies for sharing. Then we can exchange & email responses to each other's work. (I guess we can do that at the meeting too, but some of us want to use that time to write!) -- Mel

I wasn't able to attend last week's meeting, and won't be at the next one, either, because I have my dog signed up for dog classes on Thurdsays going through to the end of June. Has anyone heard from Kim? I think the room at Dennys is only reserved through June, so someone will need to reserve it for upcoming months.....

Hi everyone, this is Kassie. I just recently re-found/re-remebered this whole meeting thing, and I'd love to begin to come. Mel, I sent you an email, too. So, any information would be wonderful; I'm assuming that the meetings are still a go, but I'm not 100% sure.

As far as I know, Kim reserved the back room in the Denny's at Benson & Denali through this month (June), so we will be meeting there at 7:00 PM this Thursday, June 18. If somehow the room fell through, let's just meet there anyway.

Let this then also serve as a reminder for people still following this thread of tomorrow's meeting.

*Edit: Kim reserved Denny's through the end of the year for third Thursdays, except in November itself which will be Tuesdays. More Yay to Kim!

Much props to Mel for always remembering to post these reminders!

Additionally, we are doing the trade editing thing, so if you've got something you'd like to pass around for reviews (passed out at the meeting, reviews given via e-mail or on the document and returned later), do bring it tomorrow. (June 18th, as Mel said).

I look forward to seeing people!

I never remember to put up a reminder for our third Thursdays at a reasonable time prior to the event...
All the same! Today, the 17th, is that Thursday again. So hopefully we shall all be sharing word wars again around 7pm at Denny's.
I'll look forward to seeing you there.

Oh, good lord. So, I typically make myself wait until two weeks into September to start plotting out my NaNo novel, but, this year I just came up with an idea that I know is PERFECT for NaNo.

Now that just means I have to wait two and a half months until I can actually start writing on it! :( I should just kill myself with stupidity.

At least, two weeks into September (it's a Sunday!) I can begin to plot out the novel and get a feel for everyone. But until then...gah. Just going to have to deal with my normal stuff and put it on the back burner for now.

Looking forward to the next meeting, even if it brings the beginning of school with it! (and yeah, I realize this doesn't REALLY have to do anything with the meetings, but...whatever.)
