Hi All,
There will be a write-in at Peets, Petaluma (eastside, not downtown) this Saturday.
January 5th, 2008 Sat.
10:00 - 12:00 AM
Peets in the Washington Square Shopping Center
So. McDowell Blvd in Petaluma
There will also be a write-in in a few weeks at Borders, Santa Rosa. Stay tuned for details.
This is probably the last time I will post the write-ins in the forum, at least for a while. If you would like to be added to an email list for future notifications, send a nanomail to Boo Boo with your private email address. Otherwise, happy writing, and I'll see you all in November.
Debbie
P.S. I just previewed this post before submitting. Check out the post date. On my preview, it says I'm posting this on December 31, 1969! And, as fate would have it, I remember exactly where I was on that day! How about you ? (for those of you old enough to have rung in that decade change!)

How odd to reply to myself. The ancient post date did not carry over to the final posting, but it was there in the preview. How strange!

On December 31, 1969, I was in my family's kitchen making tamales with my siblings and aunts and uncles. December 31, 2007 I was in my kitchen making tamales, by myself while the (adult) kids were in the next room! The more things change, well you know the rest!

Mmmm, tamales.
On 12/31/69, I was on my first overnight babysitting job, and feeling a little lonely and depressed. Close to midnight, they showed the movie "The Horn Blows at Midnight," and it saved me! Plus, I made a whopping $15, or maybe it was $25?
On 12/31/07, I was sound asleep until my adult son and his friends began banging pots and screaming "Happy New Year!" I was awake until 3:00 AM which made the New Year's Day brunch I was hosting the next day a bit of a trick!
Kids!
