Thinking of working more on this plot, a plane is hijacked by Terroists and the book is based mainly on how the hostages are coping with the situation. We learn a little bit about or beloved hostages through Flashbacks, I:E One chapter is in present time, other chapter is in characters past.

Sorry, but it sounds pretty typical actually. At least as much as I know about it goes, if there's some bizarre background relationship between a number of the hostages and the terrorists or a "guess who the real terrorist" is thing going on it could get interesting, but straightforward stuff has been done to pieces.
That said, if the characters are damned interesting in their own right, then my point is moot.
