But I'm asking anyways. I'm in need of one more Christian relic for my story, which is a bit un-Christian, I'll admit. But before I go any farther, let me clarify--I'm not denouncing Christianity in any way, shape, or form--I'm Catholic, in fact, and a practicing Christian, but I just had an idea for a novel combining some pagan thoughts with Christianity.
Anyways, I'm using nine Christian relics. I need nine because nine is a multiple of three, which is the Trinitarian number. I'll list what I have so far:
+ Holy Grail (chalice Jesus used during Last Supper)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ Mantle (Jesus' cloak, which the soldiers cast lots for)
+ Crown of Thorns (obvious, I'd hope)
+ Crosswood (again, hopefully obvious)
+ Veil (Veronica's veil, used to wipe Jesus' face during the Passion, miraculously kept an image of His face)
+ Nails of Stigmata (nails on Cross)
+ Lance of Longinus (the lance thrust into Jesus' side while He hung on the Cross)
+ {{Still Needed}}
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ Shroud of Turin (Jesus' burial cloth, has an image of His body still on it)
The bulleted relics inside the lines are the seven relics I want from the Passion, so I will have one relic immediately proceeding the Passion and one relic immediately following it. My only problem is that I cannot for the life of me come up with a seventh relic! I need it to take place between Jesus' condemnation at Pilate's hands and His death on the Cross. If anyone can help I'd be infinitely greatful!

Thanks!! I finally decided on using a scrap of the temple veil which tore at Jesus' death. I am now ready to move on and continue plotting!
