Title - BY HEART
Length - It's currently under a first-time grammatical/basic revision so I'd like to go a chapter or two at a time. Right now it's just over 60,000 words and 167 pages, but the last chapter or two haven't been written yet.
Summary - BY HEART chronicles the high school senior year of Elizabeth Rigney and her friends. Elizabeth expends most of her energy this year on efforts towards helping a boy recover - a boy she used to be involved with until he lost his memory last year due to drugs. Now his memory is slowly starting to come back and Elizabeth is forced to face him and numerous other issues, something she's been putting off for a long time.
Critique requested - I've never done a first person present tense novel before so if you could pay special attention to that. Also, I changed one or two major things with the first revision and am certain there are countless continuity errors, so that will need some serious attention. Are the characters believable? Fleshed out enough? Or do all their actions seem too random? Is the voice incongruous?
Critique tolerance - You have my permission tear me up with this critique =)
Experience & Goals - This is my fifth novel but the first one I've taken seriously. Now that it's written, I truly have an aim to get in published eventually.

Anything else? - I don't have any deadlines although I plan on trying to get these revisions done sometime in June - I really don't want to spend the rest of my life on this one (I've been sort of working on it for a year now, but only just wrote it last NaNo) I've only filled in revisions on the digital manuscript up to Chapter 5 right now but have it revised on paper about 2/3 of the way through. Everyday I revise at least one chapter, if not more, so by the time I get a response I'll probably be a lot further along. WIP, that's for sure...
