This happened to me between NaNo 2006-2007, too. I miss NaNo :'(. I was literally just thinking about the novels I've written over the course of months or years, and how they suck because my writing style changed so much from the beginning to the end. But with NaNoWriMo that's not an issue because it's only one month, so it's easy to stay in the same mindset.
Yes, this is pretty much just a pity post. I admit it. But I've tried to do a regular monthlong novel thing and it just isn't the same. I miss all of the write-ins :'(
----------
NaNoWriMo 2008: Beloved (As of right now, anyway)
NaNoWriMo 2007: Karina — WINNER! (51K)
NaNoWriMo 2006: A Raven's Song — Miserable failure. We don't talk about it.

You could always come to the Post-NaNo collaboration meetings...there's a thread on the board about them.
Feel free to set up your own meeting, if you like. Post a story snippet here on the boards. Keep writing what you've got. Start something new. Don't save it all for November ;)
I miss NaNo too. It's all the frenzy of activity and friends and knowing there are several thousand other crazy people doing the same thing you are, fighting through the same writer's block, and having a damn fine time doing it.
And November is only half a year away, plus a few days...

Why aren't you coming to our write-ins once a month? We miss you!!
Yeah, I miss Nano too, but I'm hot and heavy editing my 2007 Nano and getting it ready for critique. I hope to have it done in a couple of weeks. IF I can find time to write!!

They're still on my calender, I promise! I just always seem to be busy on the second Wednesday of the month. I promise promise PROMISE that I'll be at this one, though! I've been working on a lot of new stuff, and anything that can be written alone is simply more fun when being written around other writers :D
