So, yeah, is it? I don't think of it that way, but I dunno. Anyone else Fracturing a fairy tale? What's yours like? They can be anything, really.

If it involves a suspension of belief in concepts or ideas that aren't found in our world, then its more than "technically". It IS fantasy. Fantasy is far more than dragons and princesses. A modern day fairytale sounds like Urban Fantasy to me.
