Hi everybody! I'm not the best topic-starter, but I couldn't wait to get York into the forums!!

Any body out there?

I go to York Suburban school district (I'm in both the middle school and the high school, lol) so speak up if you're a fellow classmate! And watch out for my Nano t-shirts in the halls! :)

I live in Red Lion, but I'll be away at college for most of the month. It's just across the river but still not York any more.

I'll be home for Thanksgiving break at least, if not a few other weekends, so I'll be doing a bit of my Nanoing with everyone in York.

I guess my original reply was lost with the server. :< Anyway, I'm from York as well, and back in '04 I was the only person (that I know of) participating in West York HS. I'm excited to have a York-specific thread this time around! So what genres are you all working in? Mine's sci-fi/action/mystery, a little inspired by the game Xenosaga.

Now, to continue outlining and figuring out how to make signatures work...

Our thread is officially uninhabited--there's nobody else from York??

By the way, how do you guys feel about write-ins? Yes? No? Would anyone be interested?
Last year we talked about it, but never had any :(

Well, I'm from York, but I go to college in Lancaster.

So, with the exception of thanksgiving break, most of my writing with be done in Lancaster.

However, if you do want to organize something around Thanksgiving, I'd be available.

Hey everyone!

If you could list spots where there is room for write ins that are easy access (since I'm not familiar with York) that would be great.

Maybe Martin Memorial Library, or Borders in east York? Those are the only places I can think of. I doubt I would be able to participate in a write-in though, since by the time I'm in the mood to write it's hours after everything closes... But yeah, Borders is nice. You can sit in any corner, or in the restaurant area for however long, and no one'll care.

Either of those (Martin Memorial or Borders) works for me.

Borders would probably be better, just because of parking. I'm not sure where the nearest parking garage is, but parallel parking is just a pain.

Hey fellow York-ers!
I'm a senior at York Suburban. But, it's certainly not my first time at NaNoWriMo. This will be my 5th year. I think Border's would work out well for a write-in. However, this election has me swamped until Nov. 5th. (I'm an intern for a local campaign) So, I might start later this month. Hope everyone's planning is going well.

Hey guys!
The board's been dead for a while, and I was just wondering if we were still thinking about having a kick-off party (or anything of the sort).

Borders is having some sort of Halloween party next Saturday (the 25th), that might be a fun place to meet up :)

Just suggestion!

Yes, I've been watching the H'burg board, and forgot to check in here, too.

We're meeting at Borders at 4pm on Saturday!!! Please come on in and meet your fellow werd-nerds... well, you know what I mean! I have a dozen bags of goodies from Nellie (our ultimate ML in Harrisburg), and hope to talk about where and when we can get together over the month of November to keep everyone hopping and writing.

Come on Saturday.
4 pm
Border, by the Galleria!
