Welcome to the 10th Anniversary of NaNoWriMo!
Welcome back to everyone who has participated before and a hearty WELCOME to any new comers. Don't be shy. We only bite if you want us too. :-) This is a big event for everyone and our staff have NaNo HQ have worked heard to make this special for everyone. So if you get a chance, show your appreciation to them for all their hard work. They want you to have an excellent NaNo time. Just think, it started with just a group of friends and EXPLODED into something world wide with thousands of young and old writers bonding over a common activity.
There have been a lot of changes and this is a big event for the NaNoWriMo world. You will notice that there have been a lot of changes made to the website, lots of shiny new things to play around with to enhance your NaNoing experience.
For our meet ups, Atlanta Bread Company and the East Shore Library seemed to work for the Kick Off, write in's and TGIO parties. But if anyone knows of any other places, please let me know. I want everyone to feel comfortable. If you need to contact me, I'm available by e-mail, ICQ and AIM.
All events will be tracked via Google Calenders. Here is the link for the Harrisburg Calender - Harrisburg NaNo Events
E-mail: http://www.nanowrimo.org/mlcontact - When using this form, as we share the Elsewhere forums with other groups, please put HARRISBURG in the subject so we know who it's being sent to.
ICQ: 9949013
AIM: JazzyDrow
When contacting me by ICQ and AIM please let me know that you're from NaNo. :)
And if all else, there is the internal NaNoMail at the top to get in touch with me. Don't be afraid to ask me anything.
Write on!

I am already so excited! Are we going to have the kickoff on November 1?

If we do kick off on the first, may I request that it be in the evening?
I have to take two SAT subject tests in the morning because I FAIL when it comes to planning these sorts of things. Not a good way to start the month. Not at all.
I should be done by noon though, but I think meeting on the first would be fun?
Did I mention that I'm really psyched? Because I am!

We can meet in the evening if people would like. I'm also arranging to have a chat section for Harrisburg set up. If people could let me know when they'd like to have a Pre-Kick off get together in October so we can meet up and chat. I'll have a NaNo sign and shirt on.

My vote is for evening meetings as well. The only evening I'm unavailable is Wednesday.

What dates are good in October for a pre-meeting? Week of the 13th? Week of the 20th? Let me know!
Also, as per the e-mail I sent out, we now have a Harrisburg specific Regional forum.

I should really see if I can make it out to Harrisburg for one of the get-togethers. Though preferably it would have to be on a weekend for me. <__<
