I think the "celebrating of 10 years" is a great inspiration. Last year, my first here, I jumped in joyously only to have real life yank the month out from under me. For those of you wondering if you can pull it off, I urge you to give it a try and not be intimidated. Ultimately, my word count for '07 hadn't hit 10k when my journey halted but I had established a great foothold and kept at it long after midnight, Nov. 30. Today, I truly believe the piece will be submitted somewhere in due time. So it most definitely was worth it. Beyond that piece - and most importantly - NaNo had seriously kicked the "writing juices" into gear. And that's what it's all about. Good luck to everyone in '08. And let's not hesitate to crank it out!!
