Hello fellow WriMos! Come introduce yourself here. Don't be shy; you know you want to. :)
I'm Elizabeth, and this will be my third year of participating in (and winning, too, I should hope) NaNoWriMo.

Wahoo!
I'm here convincing the Orlando Writing League that we're all signing up for Nano.
I'm Tina or Marie Dees in the writing world. I've done and won Nanowrimo 4 years and I'm going for year number 5. I still haven't decided what I'm writing yet.

Cheers to our new ML, Elizabeth!
Lori Strongin here, doing a bit of an anti-NaNo. Rather than starting a new 50,000 word project, I'm going to return to last year's NaNo Novel to both finish it up and edit the h%&# out of it.
So, wish me luck!

I told you cookies Tuesday, German. :) I had errands to run today. But I will 100% be there on Tuesday with fresh home baked cookies. I'm making them on Tuesday to ensure the freshness. :p

Hey, Lori and I want cookies too! Don't make us mug German to get them. It wouldn't be a pretty sight. (and knowing y'all, someone would take pictures)

Oh, I would never forget about cookies for you two! I just directed the post at German since he seems to think I can magically give him cookies right now or something.
I mean... I guess I could google whether I can send him internet data cookies, but I don't think those cookies are the ones he's after. hehe

Hey, German, remember what happened last time you went somewhere with an 18-year-old at the helm? If nothing else, we won't be bored!
For everyone else, come out to a write in or two and ask about how our favorite Puerto Rican accidently invaded Cuba.

hay everybody!
Mike Reynolds here. This is my first year of NaNo and I am really excited. I am currently working on a fantasy novel called The Gadon Stone. By the time NaNo starts i will be about 20k words in and will be using NaNo to catapult me to 70k or more.
Looking forward to meeting new people, and of course winning!

Shhh, don't tell the Nano folks you're cheating. The November novel is supposed to be a brand, spanking new novel. Though I've heard rumors that a few people might be working on existing novels.
I haven't decided yet. Either something with elves or something with Victorian vampires. But Victorian means historical research and that would slow me down. Elves are just pure November fun. I may do that because it'll go faster.

Hey there! I'm a homeschool sophmore this year and this will be my second time doing NaNoWriMo. I won last year (an hour from deadline), and (amazingly) completed this year's summerwrite! I am SO ready for this year's Wrimo! Bring it on!

Hello all! I'm Dave and this is my first official NaNo. I did a test run in January, producing 50k of utter rubbish in 27days. Hope to produce a readable 50k words this November.
I had every intention of cheating, though it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to get started until late October on the actual manuscript, so I'll probably wait until Nov 1st to be official. I'm planning a YA Fantasy called Thomas Moore and the Immortals, and am looking forward to getting to know everyone. Finally, writing has been socialized!
Any other UCF students? I'm a third year Molecular and MIcrobiology Major, and am curious if anyone else is neglecting studies to participate....

Hello!
My name is Shaun and this is my 2nd year at NaNo! Unfortunately, I was about 20k short of the goal last year, but I've learned so much over the past year that I'm positive I'll finish! I'm a huge procrastinator so it'll be tough, but I will keep trying. I just moved to this region to attend UCF for my third year. I'm a journalism student, a student reporter, and a creative writing minor, so November is going to be jam packed with tons of writing between Nano and uni.

Hello!
My name's Cassie and this is my first year taking part in NaNoWrMo. I'm looking forward to writing this novel I have floating around in my head that originally based off of a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction I had written earlier in the year. I'm not looking to win (though, it'd be awesome if I did), this is more of a personal competition with myself!

Even if you don't reach 50,000 words, I consider it winning so long as you get out of NaNo what you hope to get out of NaNo. If you want to use NaNo as a tool to help you reach a personal goal, meeting that goal still counts as winning in my book. I see NaNo as a challenge meant to get writers to churn out words instead of excuses. So, you don't have to win by NaNo's standards in order to feel you've accomplished what you wanted to during November. :)

Ah~
Thank you for that.
My family thinks I'm nuts for taking this on because I have a nasty problem with procrastination and I get side tracked way to easily. But, I suppose, I've been testing myself all year with my fanfiction (word count seems to steadily grow larger with everything that I put out).
To help myself reach my goal, I'm putting all of my other things on hold for that month...fans'll kill me, but it's worth it since everyone I know seems to think I'm capable of producing a full fledged novel...just not in a month. lol.

Oh, I've got a bit of a procrastination problem myself, but when I've come face to face with NaNo the past two years my mentality of "this can wait till later" is replaced by "time for a challenge!" I've always thrived more on the last-minute adrenaline rush, and that's what the whole month of NaNo feels like for me. So once November 1 hits, you might find yourself cranking out words faster than you ever thought yourself capable, which is awesome.

Hi hi hi! This will be my first participation in Nano (although I've lurked around the site for years). I'm working on a modern fantasy plot for this year and if all goes well, it'll make it to 50k. Nice to meet you all!

Hey,
Checked your profile and had to go look up aquarist just to make sure it meant what I thought it did. Are you in the attractions area? There are a group of us working in that area.

Yeppers! Well, I work in the attractions area, although I do live a good 25 minute drive from where I work, which is pretty frustrating sometimes what with 1-4. =/ But I get off of work early in the afternoon most days, so my schedule's pretty flexible.

edit: Some of my posts from yesterday seem to have gone "poof!", odd.
