Hi, just moved to Granville from Maine. I actually grew up here, moved away, got married, then came back to the house I grew up in when my parents decided to sell it. It's great being back!

I have written 2 nanos, I guess you would call them adventure/fantasy. My hubby also does nano with me, that helps a lot.

Anyone else in the area?

:) Jen

I'm here, northern Berkshires. I've done nano once before but not "won" -- November is a crazy month in my already crazy life. I like the experience, though, and the excuse to spend my free time working on the Great Fantasy Novel.

Hello and welcome!
I would be interested in reading your novel when it's done. Take care.

I'm not technically from the Berkshires, but my dad grew up there and we visit frequently.

Here here! I've been going to college here for a year and a half, and this is going to be my fourth NaNo. I've never managed to win, though, but 50k seems semi-possible this year.

There are a fair number of Simon's Rock students who have already said that they're doing NaNo this year, and we'll probably get more people as November gets even closer. We have on-campus write-ins, but if anyone is interested in doing a bigger write-in somewhere near Great Barrington, please post! That is, if you don't mind hanging out with wacky college students.

Hi, Just joined today for the very first time. I've just retired from my last job and look forward to the November challenge now that I finally have some time to myself. I'm glad to know there are so many folks in the Berkshires who are participating of this project.

Hey! I'm from the Rock, and concur with Socks--if anyone in the Great Barrington/Stockbridge/Egremont/etc area want to do some write-ins that would be fantastic. I've never made it all the way through November either--a fact which I'm determinedly blaming on mid-terms and essays--but I've got my fingers crossed this year. Oh, yeah, and I should probably go finish those papers on British literature so that I have any time at all next month...

I'm up here in (dreary and cold) North Adams at the (wonderfully annoying) college. Anyone else in North County?

Hello from gorgeous, dramatic yet drowsy Granville. Fall is gaudy and the lawn hip deep in maple leaves. The air has a nip and the Red Sox are (heartbroken sob) not in the World Series. Getting geared up for Nano, no discernible plot in sight. Good luck to all.

I'm in Williamstown, over in the corner of Berkshire County. I go to the high school there, and as far as I know, there's only one other person at Greylock NaNoing with me. Am I wrong?
