Hello. I am not in Marion but I am down the road from you, not too far, in Bellefontaine.

I am no where near ready to start this. I have not even decided what to write about yet, just many ideas, each one needing more fleshing out than the next. But, it will be okay, I have lots of time right?

Hop to hear from you later.

Hello Yurei,

In many ways, I am not ready either. I just have an very simple idea what I want to write about, but I am not prepared at all. I also need to flesh out particulars about my up coming Nano novel for November 1st.

Yes, you have plenty of time. I just get all the particulars like, Plot, characters, and chapters outlines before I start writing because I have to be focused on writing when I start writing. I have to have some sort of focus, because I work two jobs so I can't take the extra time to be figuring out what I should be writing on. I have to have the general idea each day I write and just go with it. I can't worry about the technical stuff as if it ties together well enough or not when I just need to write it and get it over with during the time period I have.

One of my jobs is in retail so you can image what the holiday season might be like for me, on top of trying to write about 2,000 words a day to acheive my 50,000 word goal.

Last year was very hard for me, but I paced myself. On days off, I wrote double so that if I really need to take a day off from writing, I could and I wouldn't get behind and feel so overwhelmed that I would just drop out completely with doing NaNoWriMo.

Partcipating in NaNoWriMo is no small feat for me, since in my busy life style with my job and more, I have to make the time to write each day. Sometimes just writing helps me escape from the things I have to do and sometimes during NaNoWriMo, I just want to escape from writing. LOL

Keep positive about it. A habit that helped me last years before NaNoWriMo, was each day I thought about just a little bit, so that my mind was prepared for the challenge. :o)

I have two jobs also. Kinda makes you feel blah working all the time, at least it does me. Fortunately I do not have to interact with people for the most part, allowing me a good amount of time to think about what I want to write. The problem is just doing it. By the time I get home at night I am not feeling much like writing. And working 7 days a week, well, that just grinds you down after awhile. But I do not envy you with the holiday season about to jump off. Retail for the holidays. Good luck.

I think I need something to push me to write. Hopefully with a deadline I will feel the urge to do so. The great thing about this is that I have always felt this time of year is the best for writing. The cold days, long nights makes it almost perfect. Now to stock up on coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, arrange a playlist or two and get some new thick fuzzy socks. Thats what I need to be ready.

It is that dreaded time again. Time to head off to work. Talk to you soon.

Hey, I'm S.S. Dailey, originally from the Marion area but now going to school up in Tiffin. This year I'm the ML for the Tiffin region, but if at all possible I may stop in at some of your events, considering I do try and go home to visit my family (especially for Thanksgiving). It will be interesting to see how other regions hold their write-ins, etc.

Hi, I'm Wendy. This my first plunge at doing something like tihs. I'm more likely to write poems and song lyrics than stories.

I already have the start for my story. It's writing itself right now I'm just holding the "pen".
