Hi everyone!
Are you getting excited? I am. November 1st is a little over a month away and some of our members are already working on their backstory and plot outlines.
I am finalizing weekly warm-up meetings to begin later this week and run throughout the month of October in preparation for NaNoWriMo 2008. Meetings will be held Friday nights and Wednesday mornings – times and locations to be determined. Topics will range from time management to plot scenarios, character building, and word wars.
I am looking at the following locations: the food court in Prescott Gateway Mall, Barnes and Noble, and the various Starbucks, including the one in Chino Valley Safeway. If anyone has another possible spot, let me know ASAP.
Keep an eye on your inbox for the “official” announcement in a day or two.

I vote for anyplace with comfy chairs, and quiet enough to hear everyone talk. :) I'm trying to think of other places, but my brain went blank. Is internet a necessity? If not, that would open up a lot more options.

Heh, looks like some of our posts were lost in the disk failure.
How did your scouting mission go? Any likely location prospects?

Gotta love technology. The Prescott library has a few Thursday evenings available but Fridays are better for me, personally - Library closed then. So, I am considering keeping the yarn shop where I work open for us on Fridays. We've got comfy chairs, a good coffee shop within walking distance, and I have the key to lock up whenever we're done. I'll let everyone know in a day or two.

Comfy chairs are always a good thing! I keep hoping a few more people will show up in the forum. Were you thinking of a get-together next week? Always Dreamin will be away in the last two weeks of October, and it would be nice if we could have a meeting before she goes. :)

I am hoping to join in for a few write-ins but I don't have a laptop yet and I need 3 new tires on my Geo before I can really go anywhere. I they come to pass. Anyway, if I can't make it I will be with you in spirit.

Hi Gigasails - if you can find a location for us in PV, I'll schedule a write-in. I don't know the coffee shops and other gathering-type places there to be able to scout them out.
