Hey WriMos! Hope everyone's getting revved up for November! I wanted to check in and see where in Delaware everyone is from this year. Katie'll be popping in a little later to get more info for planning meetings so I figured it'd be good to see where everyone is hailing from. To get the ball rolling, I'm in Newark.

I'm from Newark and I'm a NaNo newb. Fortunately, I live with katpetal. Unfortunately, we'll both be fighting WoW addictions and the release of the newest expansion mid-November.

@ Katpetal. Wanna just knock out our 50k before the 13th? ;) <3

I'm in the, uh, Philadelphia portion of Delaware. :) I figure, I visit DE enough I should know the rockin places to write when I'm outside my hometown.

(You guys should look into Greg hosting a write-in at the store. I'll certainly visit for that!)

Milford for me. Trying to talk alot of locals into trying out NaNoWriMo this year. Build a community where one doesn't exist.

Please do. We might have a Sussex Co. school participating in the YWP program, but outside of that I haven't heard much from Sussex County.

Also, have you ever thought of contacting the Eastern Shore Writer's Association? http://www.easternshorewriters.org/home.htm is their website, This way, if participation isn't up in Sussex County, you still have other flesh-and-blood writers you can meet with during this time..

Edit:
Well lookey here! There's also the Creative Writing Center at the Del Tech Georgetown campus! Wow, you Sussex County people get all the spiffy new things! http://www.dtcc.edu/owens/ccp/creativewriting/

I live in Hartly, about 20 minutes west of Dover. Last year I drove to most of the Newark/Wilmington meetups but this year I don't think I'll be doing it, I just don't have the patience for driving long distances anymore. x_X

Not Sussex, actually, but close enough. . . most of my walks are bi-county.

I probably am just going to stick local. Lack of car due to recent accident.

Halfway between Newark and the outskirts of Wilmington. I probably won't be able to come to any meetings though, because I went to one last year and the yougest person there was probably at least 4 years older than me, which kinda freaked my mom out.

Aww I think I remember you. You attended NaNo kickoff. I think one of our other NaNoers is around your age. Also, have you tried getting people at your school involved? Even if you can't attend the meetings, we'll gladly support you anyway we can!

There are at least 2 high school NaNoers this year--3 last year, but my one instigating friend graduated. I didn't go to any meetups last year, though, because none of them were either convenient times or convenient location (I'm in Hockessin).

I'm from Newark, but still in high school so I doubt I'll be going to any meetings. School work+convincing my parents to drive me=very slim chances. I'm trying to convince some friends at school to join, but to no avail.

I'm in New Castle, near the new DMV/Lowe's. Will try to attend meetings, especially if they are on a weekend!

I'm in New Castle. I grew up about ten minutes from here in Old New Castle and that great little city has made its way into quite a few of my stories.

I'll definitely try to make it to some of the get-togethers. I bet they'll be fun!

I'm in Seaford, and have found two other Sussex NaNoWriMos over on the Sussex County thread, plus the Selbyville Wrimo listed on this thread makes four! I'm thinking thee's company, 4 makes a write-in! Selbyville Wrimo (I'm sorry, I forgot to note down your handle) check the Sussex thread, I'm trying to drum up interest for a write in next week on Tuesday or Wednesday evening. I'm at 7500 words as of this morning, and need more fuel to add to this fire.

Jeez it feels weird to see so many Delaware WriMos, I didn't think we'd have that many...251! ^.^

Anyways. I'm closer to Dover than anything. I'd LOVE to come to some of these get-togethers...but I highly doubt my parents will let their 13 year old daughter go to Wilmington to hang out with some online friends -.- *sigh* I can just chat with you all here ^.^
