I'm in the Elmira area! I can't promise anything, but if it fits into both of our schedules, I'd love to meet up for some NaNo-ing! I'm thinking I might have a more difficult time this go-round, so anything that will keep me motivated and writing is a plus!!

i would LOVE to do TGIO with you! we won't be there until the 25th, and will be traveling further upstate to my aunt's in amsterdam (near albany) for thanksgiving day.

i'm not familiar with the area AT ALL. are there coffeeshops with free wireless where we might be able to meet?

Well, during the day there's Panera's. I believe they have free wireless. There's a Starbuck's at the Barnes & Noble as well, but I don't know if their wireless is free or not. At night, there's Denny's...Chris is supposed to be getting it set up with wireless, but he's been saying that for a while now. :) Once we get closer to the end of the month, I can give you directions and such. And in the meantime, I'll check out other places for wireless!

i also wanted to throw out that this is my fourth year of ml'ing so i'll probably ask erin/lindsey to set up a new york: elmira region for next year, with me as the ml.

as long as i'm not pregnant (lol, which i was last year), i'm a pretty good ml.

me

ps ~ i'm so glad there's a panera and a starbux up there! omg i think i might have died without starbucks. it's bad enough that i have to give up the fresh mozzarella and pesto sammiches i love at my favorite local coffee shop.

HI there, I'm in the area, too. I did NaNo for the first time last year. I'd be happy to meet up with you both.

I'd love to see a NaNo group sprout up in the area! I kinda felt like the only one last year! :)

And there's two Starbucks, actually! One at Barnes & Noble and then one in the Target (the plazas are kitty-corner to each other) There's rumors of a third popping up somewhere, but nothing soild yet.

Hey! I'd love to get together for some NaNo-ing (as long as schedules allow, of course!) :) We can start planning as November grows closer!

I see you are a crochet-er. There is a LYS in Corning where you can come and stitch on Thursday nights [maybe *after* November ;-)].

Looking forward to meeting you.

I'm in Wellsville (a bit west of Elmira, but not too long of a haul) and the ML for the new Southern Tier region.

I don't know if I'll be able to make it out to Elmira during November, but meet-ups/write-ins in the Alfred/Hornell area are a definite possibility if any of you are interested in heading out. If you can't make it, I'd still love to help you out. Southern Tier is a pretty big (and general) area.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

yes, i'm familiar with wellsville...i had a job interview out there 10 years ago. i think personally, i'll wait and see if anyone from elmira wants to head that way if y'all have tgio out there (i'm not going to be up there until the 25th); otherwise, us three elmira-area wrimos might have tgio together in our little corner of the region.
