Put my name down. I'll definitely be there, and I'll try my best to make it to the Nov. 1 Write-in at Katz's. Any excuse for me to make my way down to Katz's is a good one.

Oh lordy how I am going to miss you all!

I am moving to New Mexico this month. Wahhhh my new region (all of New Mexico other than Santa Fe and Albuquerque is only 17 people big.

...wonders if she can still do the competition as a houstonian this year...

Soluna!
I think you can still affiliate with the Houston Region... We love you and we love your high word count! I'm sorry the Region you've moved to is so small and so spread apart. Maybe you could write with El Paso, TX?? Or maybe you could start a new Region and advertise to get people involved - be the ML of the new NM chapter...
I will miss you so much from the write-ins in the Clear Lake area. :(
Best luck with your novel this year.

Soluna,

Write-ins are not going to be the same without you. There was nothing better to spur me to writing than sitting next to someone who writes ten times faster and more furiously than me. I can't believe that you're going to be in a region with so few people! We're going to miss you at the write-ins.

Of course you can affiliate with Houston if you want to.I think you have to be gone from the city for at least six months before that's not allowed. ;)

Sweet! I will desperately miss the write ins as well. You don't know how fun they are for me. If any of you have never been to the write ins...

Go. Seriously. Just make the time and go. The Houston region is so fabulous I can not express how sad I am not to be part of the social aspect of Nano here this year.

I will be affiliating with Houston, and spurring you all onto greatness.

The ML for the entire NM Elsewhere group is only 35 minutes away from Alamogordo, and has mentioned there will be write ins in that area. Heck after living in Houston for 20 years, a 35 minute drive is NOTHING. *smirks*

Carol!

Hey, yeah, I so can not NOT do Nano. It is in my blood now. I am going to try to take it easier this year (what with having to find a job and all).

I am keeping my friends from the east in my regions, and will be checking in with y'all, just look at it as your friends circle getting wider, another peg in your map of where friends reside.

I'm going to try to be there. I do plan on trying to make it, but it depends on if I can get the time off from work (stupid retail job).

Soluna, never met you personally, but you are very inspirational. Wish I could meet ya, but I hope you have a good time in NM.

So many new folks this year!! I'm very excited! I've been collecting door-prizes and putting together goodie bags for the kick-off event this weekend! It's going to be so fun!

I'm really looking forward to meeting all the new Wrimos and seeing all the seasoned ones too! If you haven't RSVP'd for the Kick-Off in 2 weeks - please do so I'll know how many supplies to bring.

Someone asked about what to bring... I can't think of anything right now - just your energy and spirit. We haven't written our first words yet so you can't bring excerpts. This is informational and I get to give y'all the rules and some swag to help you make it thru the month. Y'all can all bring something to the TGIO party but more on that towards the end of November. Oh, we'll probably ask the veterans to speak some advice for the newbies ~ so think about what you might want to impart to a virgin NaNo'er and bring that if your back for more this year. Oh and if you have art supplies (colored pencils, crayons, drawing pencils, stickers)... we can always use more of those, we'll have a couple of optional small crafty projects going on.

2 more weeks! eeek
