I'm currently very pregnant - I'll be having my baby sometime between now and Oct. 17.

But I'm still planning on doing NaNo even though I'll have a newborn. Probably a little crazy, and while I'll try my best, I'm not counting on winning.

So, I won't be able to join you all for write-ins and parties, but will see you around this forum :)

Only the good crazy ;) That's some serious dedication you have to doing Nano anyway! Glad you'll be with us on the forums!

Congratulations! If you're lucky, the baby will sleep most of the time so you can chill and write all day.

You might consider looking into a postpartum doula, if you don't want to deal with the novel, baby, *and* house. (Disclaimer: I'm a doula, so I enjoy spreading the word :D)

Hope you have an awesome birth!

If the house is messy, I won't care too much about that *L* My husband has been super helpful these last few months when it's been harder for me to do household things. So I'm sure he'll continue that while I'm recovering.

Plus at this point, we can't afford a doula (if I was going to get one, I'd probably get one for the birth), but I'm sure we'll manage :)

I figure I might as well try, since I'll be home anyway.

Your not crazy. Just think of all that time when your sitting around holding a newborn as a chance to work on your novel in your head. :)

That's what I do with my toddler. When she is having a day where she wants constant attention, I write in my head. Then when I sit down at the computer, I'm usually ready to go.

Besides, the one thing I missed when I first had my daughter was a creative outlet. I was bored silly at times. Now having something to occupy my mind while I'm a SAHM, actually helps me to keep from going crazy.

First Congratulations on the baby! Are you crazy? No. Your baby will sleep alot. You can fill your time while the baby sleeps. And if inspiration happens to hit you in the middle of a feeding have a small tape recorder handy. Talk to the recorder and when you lay the baby down, pound it out on the keyboard (or whatever method you are using).
