Okay, so I'm technically not allowed to live in this regional forum yet, but I'm going to post because there's no posts up here yet. I'm actually a San Antonio Wrimo, but I am probably going to move to San Marcos next fall when I go to college. So next year, I'll be at the write-ins and socials in San Marcos (most likely).
Anyhoo, I posted this in my SA region, but thought I'd offer it here as well. I'm trying to see if anyone likes my calendar. If you do, feel free to print it out. : ) If it's terrible, please tell me why you think so, because I want it to be nice so I can post it up in a few more places on the site.

I created a calendar for NaNo'08. It has the minimum wc goals for the day, a nice quote, and several inspiring pictures. The quality is not perfect because it was made on ... well ... erm...*coughpaintcough* I am not qualified to work on anything better as of yet. The pictures represent the different weeks of NaNo, and they include:
Week #1. a picture to symbalize NaNo's geekiness.
Week #2. a picture of writing "like a rabid ferret." (Yay for the race that is upon us.)
Week #3. a picture for your mid-nano blues.
Week #4. a brilliant picture of the purple winner's bar and golden crown. : )
Please let me know if this calendar is nice (or terrible) because I'm trying to figure out where I will post it on this site next, and I want it to be nice for all the wrimo's of the world. If you like it, feel free to print it out. If there's a problem, let me know.

I really like your calendar! I was hoping to make one for the Austin group to hand out at our kickoff. Would you mind if I use yours? Does it print out full-size 8.5x11?
Also, I was thinking about putting a tip on reaching 50K in each square - like SAVE YOUR WORK AND BACK IT UP!
I have a collection of tips from Austin Wrimos for the last few years (somewhere). I wonder if they would fit in the squares all right (or span a couple if necessary). Or would it be better to fill the squares in with event information? What do you think?

Um, when you print it out you may have to turn it sidewaise, but it'll print full sized. (I have one on my wall right now beside the computer.) You may have to take it into print and make sure there's no random block of white on the bottom. I had a problem with that. And since I don't know flickr well, I didn't know how to upload it to prevent that.
Oh, my sister pointed something out to me, on the 15'th, the number is off. I need to change it.
I would say it would be cool to have tips and ideas stuck into the calendar. I think if you have planned events, it would be cool to put info in there too. I think you could do both. Event stuff on the special days, and tips everywhere else.
