Of course, this includes anyone in the middle-of-nowhere area. We won't discriminate if you're not a college student.

Anyway, here's a place for anyone who actually stumbles across here. Hopefully *crosses fingers* this will turn out to be a busy place.

Sweet! I can't believe I actually found Snow College already in the regions! Yes I am a student here, hopefully someone else pops on as well. I totally think we need to have a starting party for this little area. We need to show that Snow kicks butt! Wheet Whoot!! Go Badgers!

Hoo my God! People!

*Dies a long, drawn out, overly theatrical death*

Hi everyone! I'll be serving as Snow's (unofficial) ML thinger. I've already gone to the liberty of sticking fliers up (mostly in the humanities building).

Erm...let's see.

I currently have no net in my apartment, but I'll be trying to check Nano daily now, come Hell or high water. If you have any questions, mail me, e-mail me, beg my phone number or address. Stalk me, it'll be an interesting change in routine.

Okay. Now for the important stuff!

Kick off Party! I'd like to do it on Halloween (that'd just be neat) but I'll be heading home that weekend. Would there be sometime during the week that would be good for everyone? Since pizza is like, the official Nano kickoff food, we could all meet up at Fat Jack's. While there, I figure we could plan our write-ins and stuff.

It is a sad and tragic pity that Ephraim has no coffee shops. Nano just won't be the same without coffee shop get-togethers.

Anyway! I'd love to hear imput from all y'all. And I hope to see you all (in the flesh) soon!

Hey! Ephraim does have a coffee house of sorts, It is the Solid Rock Cafe! I go there all the time, I don't really like coffee but they really do some awesome tea's, Italian Soda and hot chocolate as well. My favorite is their Chai-Noggin. The prices are very reasonable and they also serve food.

I still do like the Idea of going to Fat Jacks on Halloween for the opening party, I am in a creative writing class so I might be able to get more people from their to join and come as well. I have to admit, InsanityisBeautiful is my sister and she is technically not in Ephraim, so I doubt she will come. But We can get lots more people to come.

E-mail me or just call, I'll send the info in a PM to you. I can' t wait to actually talk to you!

Lets get this show on the road!! WHoo HOO!

I'm afraid I'm heading home on Halloween. Perhaps we could do it thursday night instead?

And I've never been to the Solid Rock. Mostly because it's a Christian establishment, and I ain't christian no more. I'd feel out of place.

But, if they have coffee, maybe that's where we should have our little get togethers.

Thursday would work for me. What time could we do? I'm thinking either 7 or 8ish. Sometime in between then, if that works for everyone.

I'm generally free after 6(ish) on Thursdays. So 7-whenever would work great for me.

Does this work for everyone?

I'm in. I've been debating with myself for about a week if I really wanted to do this. Today I finally dove in. I wont be able to make it to the social on Thursday, but I hope to get involved so I don't burn out.

Has anyone here at Snow College completed a NaNo novel before?

Hello! I should be able to make the social on Thursday although I may be late. Just so people know, the Solid Rock Cafe doesn't care if you are christian or not. it is just a really accepting, friendly place to hang out in. I should know, not only do I hang out there all the time, I know most of the people who run it.

I am totally fine with where ever we meet for the social though. i am looking forward to meeting everyone else in the area who is doing this as well.

PS: I think there is more than one teacher for Creative Writing, but my teacher is Professer Bean. yeah...

Ok! see you awesomeest people tomorrow!!

Hey randomly popping in here to wonder how many people on here are in Prof. Bean's class or were in Carney's class last year?

BTW, you probably won't hear much from me 'cause I'm mostly a lurker... in everything I do... :D

Okay, to start, yes, Aratus. This is my third year doing Nano, and I've won both previous years.

This year, though, I won't actually be finishing the novel. Just hitting the half-way point. But that's all right. My reasons are long and complicated. I'll bore everyone with the details later tonight. ^_^

Just as a reminder, we'll be meeting tonight (thursday) at Fat Jack's (aka Roy's pizzeria, whatever else you might want to call it) at 7. I'll be ordering a large pizza after someone else joins me, and I'll be hanging around until shortly before 9. So, forum lurkers, come join us, even if you aren't intending to participate this year. There is nothing more fun than hanging out with a bunch of other writers and eating pizza.

If everyone could bring a couple bucks to help cover the cost of pizza, I'd appreciate it.

I'll see you all in a couple hours.

Oh! Look for the chubby chick with long messy hair, and a black "NINJ4" hoody with a black bag covered with cherrys and a black and gray laptop back. If you can't find her, yell out "Jen" and I wave you down.

Hello! Well, we had a total of four people at Fat Jacks(Roys) last night for our opening party. We decided on doing weekly write ins Mondays, at 6pm over at the solid rock cafe, if you don't know where that is just ask and i can give you directions.

So, good luck writing everyone! we have just over twelve hours (as I am writing this) until we can officially start!

TTYL!

Kat/Toni

(ps: I am in Mr. Beans class this year and i have a bunch of friends who were in carney's class last year but they moved on to bigger colleges now.)

Write-ins!

We'll be having our weekly write-ins at the Solid Rock Cafe (located to the south of the Tute building. You can't miss it.)

When? Why, every Monday at six o'clock.

If you can't make it, mention it here. I'd be more than happy to do more than one write-in, and I have a pretty flexible schedule.

See you all on Monday!

Erm...

One small problem. I'm in Wind Symphony, and we're doing a concert in Richfield on Monday.

I don't know when we'll be done, but I'm almost sure it won't be in time for the write-in.

I'm sorry! Would Tuesday work for this week?

Tuesday should work for me this week, i'll just be leaving (ish) around 7 then. ok, well not really leaving but the Cafe does bible study then and I enjoy going so I'll just need to be done by then. But same time to meet would be just fine with me. Let me know then if that works.

Oh, and if there is anyone who still really wants to meet today just let me know and I can probably be there.

Don't sweat it. Late is better than never, which is what happened to me yesterday. I'll see you around six-thirty then.

I'll still be there at six. Maybe I'll actually make some progress.

So! We (meaning Toni and I) had an excellent write-in where we accomplished the goal of write-ins. We talked about music, and didn't get any writing done!

Much fun was had by all.

If you want to join us in all our crazy over-caffeinated joy, we'll be having another write-in Monday the 10th, at 6pm, at Solid Rock Cafe. If you don't know where this is, ask and you shall receive directions. If you can't make it, say something! We can always work things out so that you everyone can join in at least one write-in a week.

I'm always willing to put off writing to socialize with writers and talk about writing (or music, art, or anything other than writing).

Well my novel has come off to a very slow start, I have only really started today. I have been way busy. About the write ins. I am way busy Mondays and Tuesdays. But thats okay, I'll have trouble making it no matter when the schedule is. Hopefully I be able to come once in a while.

My schedule is pretty free. If there's some other time you'd like to get together, we can get together and jabber if you'd like.

Hello again! Yeah, Jen and I didn't get much writing done at our write in but hey! it was still fun and I am looking forward to next write in. hopefully there will be more people there to chat about writing with.

Randomness here, I had to re-start my entire story because I was at a lose for adding conflict of any kind in my first one. So I offcially re-began another one. Just word of encouragement, it doesnt' matter what you end up writting or how many times you may need to re-start it, you can still do it! I am after all.

Would anyone like to come over to my apartment tomorrow for a fiesta sort of thing? I plan on making a seven layer dip and chicken enchiladas in a cream sauce. Considering the amount of food that will make, and how little room there is in the fridge for my left overs, I'd be more than happy to feed people.

Wag! I just realized that there is a thing for Snow College! Awesome. So, I'm completely new at this, and I have no idea what I'm doing, other than I have a really good idea for a novel, so I'm chugging along with that, but otherwise, I'm in the dark. What exactly is a write-in?...if that's not a really stupid question...and what do you do. I'm kind of at a loss here. I also noticed that one of the writers is in Wind Symphony...me too! Anyway...any information would be much appreciated...

Hi! *waves to all* I don't get out much, so you probably won't ever see me (ooo... that's kinda mysterious...). Also, I'm failing pretty much all of my classes so I have mucho homework to do to catch up, but I'm glad you guys are having fun! :D

Hi dressmanchild! Welcome to Nano!

First off, a write-in is basically where we get together and avoid working on our novels. We talk a lot, and it's a great place to go to get pointers on beating writer's block, learning about the publishing world, and you get to hear all kinds of random things. Since we didn't have one this monday, we could do one thursday night, if you'd like.

And I'm in Wind Symphony. I'm the flute that sits next to Jeremy (clarinet). Name's Jen(nifer). Come say hi to me, or something tomorrow.

ArielDelMonte, you should come join us sometime. It's lots of fun. Loads of homework not-withstanding.

Oops! I just realized that was supposed to be read around Tuesday...well, obviously we can't do another write-in on Thursday...that's past, but what time and where are the usual write-ins?...just so I know and see if I can come. I'll also look for you tomorrow (Friday), in band, and maybe we'll exchange emails so you can give me tips if I end up not going to be able to show at write-ins...which is highly likely...but anyway...thanks for being so welcoming!
