There are currently 237 WriMos listed as living in Elsewhere, West Virginia, that is, anywhere but Huntington!

Please post a brief note to this thread telling what town or county you live in!

P. S. I live in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Born and raised in Parkersburg. I'm surprised Morgantown and Charleston don't have their own regions instead of just Huntington.

I know I'm really surprised that Charleston doesn't have one. I wish they did it'd be great to go to a write in or something neat like that.

I've been thinking about making posters and asking the library to stick them up so maybe I can get someone around here to join in the crazyness with me.

Another between Charleston and Huntington person here (Scott Depot), but I work in Charleston so I think of that as "my" place.

If we don't get enough Parkersburg people to have an event, I would love to crash a write-in in Charleston. It's a lot closer for me than Morgantown or Huntington and it's an easy drive down 77.

Well if we have a write-in in Charleston, you're welcome to crash it. =D So is anyone planning a write-in?

I'm in Slanesville (Hampshire County), clear on the other side of the state from most of you. I lived in Parkersburg MANY years ago.

Those of you from Charleston (or any other part of the state where we have several WriMos) might want to exchange email with each other over the weekend and decide whether one of you wants to volunteer to become ML for a new region where you live.

(I've requested that Morgantown become its own region this year.)

This weekend is the last time you can request to become an ML for NaNoWriMo 2008.
Please check http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1003232 for details.

Well I'd volunteer to do it, but I don't turn eighteen until November 19th... and the whole not having a license thing, plus being in high school adds to the reasons that I can’t...

Hi everybody! I live in Charleston, on the notorious West Side. Acturally, a very nice accessible part of town.

A write-in is an event at which NaNoWriMo participants (often called WriMos) get-together to encourage each other, to write quietly in the presence of others who are also writing, and to engage in "word wars," timed competitions in which everyone tries to write as many words as possible in, say, 10 m inutes.

Hey folks! I live in Beckley.

This will be my second try at NaNoWriMo and I really hope to be a winner this time around. I am on the computer all day long, so hopefully i can sneak in a few pages here and there throughout the month.

Any Beckley-dwellers want to get together, just let me know when and where! :)

Yeah, it's my fault there is a forum for Huntington and nowhere else, since I've been participating in various places & ways for many years. :-D When I moved here, I rabidly recruited friends/ fellow students and carved out a place for Huntington as a separate region. I know there will be a fairly solid group of participants around Marshall/ Huntington, so if you can get out this way, please join us! And if you get enough people (I've no idea what they're requiring these days, but I'll look around), I'm sure you can be listed as your own region and be able to ML, etc. West Virginia has a lot more participants than you'd think! It's just hard to get them together sometimes. :-)

----------

I'm a total stereotype.
I'm also the ML for Huntington/ MU. Hope to see you at local events!

Hey!
I live very close to Charleston. Dunbar, to be exact. XD Near Cross Lanes and not too far from Sissonville.
XD

If anyone is planning a Write-In, let me know! I'd love to attend one. (:
If you'd want help planning one, I'm up for that too. Just drop me a message or something.
