Is anyone interested in attending a Mercer County write in? Possibly at the Borders near/at Nassau Park on Thursdays? Possible time about 7pm-9pm.

I have no idea if it'll be possible for this to happen or not on my end, but I figured that I'd ask around here before asking around my house. I really want to go to some write ins, but Somerville is too far away. Plus, I never think about doing my homework on Thursdays, as that's my last school day of the week.

So, I really am up to any suggestions that anyone has, but I think it would be awesome if this could work out. So, is anyone interested?

Where do you go to school, might I ask/do you have a specific address for that Borders?

I go to Mercer County Community College Mondays through Thursdays. Sorry for not getting to this post sooner, but I needed my desktop to get the address from the Google maps. But, the Borders is just past Quakerbridge Mall, and here's the address that Google gives: 601 Nassau Park Boulevard, Princeton, NJ 08540 (Borders Bookstore - Books, Music & Movies)

And, you know, when I look at the map for the location that rkivist mentioned, Starbucks Coffeehouse at Kuser and Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Roads, that seems to work as well. But, if you're searching for it in google, the Starbucks has to go at the end, or else it will give you highschools instead... I totally fail at geography, though, and have never quite been interested enough to figure that out.

I'm just trying to figure out how to get to a write in without really inconveniencing my Dad, my driver in other words, too much. So, yeah, I'm up for just about anything.

Oh darn. Yeah, I don't really have a car myself, and that's a bit of a walk from where I live. I just moved here for school, and I'm not familiar yet with transportation. Mayhaps no write-ins for me. I may not have time for NaNo anyway this year, which is sadness. :(

I am not sure I would be able to attend a write-in, but I can consider the possibility down the road. The Borders there is definitely better than the Starbucks, which is one of the tiny shotgun ones with very little room, only about four small tables. There's a large side seating area at Borders which is rarely crowded, at least not when I've been there.

Good time, good place. For people still not sure where the Borders is, it's by the Home Depot out on Route 1.

This will be my third NaNoWriMo, but my first write-in.

So, what day would be good for people? Weekday, weekend?

Thursdays, 7-9 PM, would be perfect.

Thursday 7-9 at the Princeton Borders is excellent.

Hi, I'm Steph by the way. This is my... 4th nano I think? I can't quite remember. This is the first year I'm really taking it seriously, trying to break my 5k block. I'm based in Somerset, work at the Menlo Mall, and would love to come down Princeton way to write with a bunch of fellow Wrimos.

I'm afraid thursdays at the Borders will not work for me, I go killing my friends on thursday nights (I attend a recreational fencing club that meets on Thursday nights).

So far as public transportation goes, the 601 bus goes to the Hamilton K-Mart, which has the advantage of being diagonally situated to the Starbucks in Hamilton. It does run on weekends, one end of the route is the College of New Jersey, the other end is the Hamilton Marketplace.

The Borders by Home Depot otuside Princeton (Nassau Park Boulevard) the 603/613 has stops by the Walmart across the (really big) parking lot. The official ends of that particular route are Mercer Mall (across Quaker Bridge Road from the big box mall including Home Depot, Borders and Walmart. The other end of that route is the Hamilton Marketplace.

The 600 bus also stops by the Wal Mart. It's route is Princeton Forrestal Village to the Trenton Train Station.

The site for looking up public transport is here if anyone wants to look things up for access. Hope this helps.

I'll be at the Starbucks diagonnally from the KMart, mainly because it's close enough for me to get to.

That's not too far from me, but it really depends on homework and my ability to get a ride, but I'll ride to go to some if possible!

This probably sounds really stupid but... what exactly is a write in? It sounds fun none-the-less.
This is my first NaNo, and it sounds really fun, and I do have a ride to that area so I'd love to come, except I can't do Thursdays 7-9. But if everyone else can, don't change anything on my part, since I don't know if I'll have time to dedicate myself to this or not. But no harm in trying!

Write ins are when you meet up with people in your area during Nano and write together. I haven't actually been to a write in, so I really can't say more than that, but I do think they would be fun.

And, I think the write ins might be taking place some day during the weekends, if people don't mind and I can convince my dad. I still have to talk to him, so I'm still unsure of definite plans. But, if there's enough people who want to do Thursdays, someone else could always set up a write in of their own.

So, I'll try and talk to my dad this weekend. Right now I've gotta finish my essay for World Lit class.

I figured it was something like that, thanks for clearing it up though.
Still sounds fun, if we can get a clear date and time everyone can do it, I think we should go for it! My mom wanted to know if this would be something that would/could run after November too, but I think that's something to think about more at the end of November.

Good luck on your essay!

I was at the Nassau Park Borders this evening from 7PM to 9PM, but no other Wrimos showed up. *sigh*
