Winthrop nano's unite!

Well I live in Winthrop to that's taking my...fifth shot at Nano, so ya got me :).

I'm Ryan, and I have the best ideas for my novel. That is, ones I want to write about. I assume, anyway.

We should have like, Official Winthrop Write-Ins and shi'. Then we can all sit in a cafe on a laptop and get awkward looks from people who are just there to get bagels, and be like "I'm novelling" and then just start punching random keys. It'll be awesome, just you wait and see.

It is fun to sit in a cafe and write and have people staring at you. I mean hey, Moonstruck Cafe's a nice little place, they make an ok Mocha.

As for punching random keys, you could just claim you were writing in an Alien or language as a way to explain away your strange jargon :).

Good luck nanoing though and maybe I'll see you around Ryan and Jake :).

Not good enough to hire me though, apparently.

Very well. I hereby declare myself the de facto leader of the Winthrop chapter of Boston NaNoWriMo. That's right, ALL FOUR OF US. If anyone has a problem with that, then we shall face each other in the ring of death.
Maybe we can all set up a write-in or two on the days where I don't want to take the Red Line to the official ones. That is, most of them.

Oh fearless leader, let me know when you schedule your events, and I'll add them to the Google calendar. :-)

Bloodcider....I just want you to know that although I don't live in Winthrop, I still get all the e-mails from these threads. Therefore, I've been getting all the updates on your town's write-in plans (and have been promptly ignoring them, as I won't be in Winthrop in the forseeable future).

However, today I happened to read your latest post, and it made my day. So, just thought you'd like to know that you nearly got me in trouble for laughing too hard at work today.

While I appreciate your taking the initiative to set up a write-in, making threats (even in jest) is unacceptable in the forums. Don't do it again.

Bloodcider has already called Moonstruck Cafe and the kind people there have agreed on these dates and times.

Now you have FIVE! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make the write-ins, I work every one of those days :( I'll try and drop a day or two so I can make it, though.

A whopping two people showed up, which is a shame, because the muffins there were excellent.

I'm working every Saturday in November, so unless something changes I won't be able to make it :(

I'm not going to be at the write in this Saturday, because I'm going to dinner and movie with my Dad. I'm moving to Florida soon and have no idea when I'll see him again, so the hell if I am going to reschedule. Nobody is going to show up anyway.
