Hey everyone,
I'm a student at Landmark College in Putney, and I was wondering if anywone was in the area? I was thinking of organizing a couple of write-ins come November on campus (you don't need a password for temporary wireless access) and there are places on campus that would actually be fairly well suited to writing.
If anyone's interested drop me a line (or a NaNoMail) and I'll look into it.

Seems like most of the VT folks are far away (from Bratt / Putney)... I've also joined the Western Mass region and we're also looking at kick-off event (possibly Shelburne Falls). Check it out Southeastern Vermonters;=)

Oo, I'm in Marlboro but I work in Brattleboro. I've got a 19 month old, so I can't really get anywhere without some serious advance notice, but if anyone knows of any meets in Bratt, I'm there!

I was thinking of trying to get a room in the library, here at landmark college, once a week for the whole month, other than that, i'll be hosting get togethers on campus, probably in my dorm room..... but I'll let people know if I get that library room, because that would be great, there's also a cafe on campus which i might hold get togethers there as well. I'm looking into some options for places on campus.
If I can get the college behind some of this I might be able to swing some stuff.

I saw a post of yours but can't find it, about maybe meeting in Bratt. in the store where you work. Where do you work? I have weird hours... sometimes I'm free daytimes sometimes eves. I might be up for a meet in Bratt. either on a regular basis or an odd one here or there.

I'm in Bratt too and up for meeting - let's do it! I'm free at odd times as well, but afternoons and some evenings are good. With enough notice I can meet in the AM too.

Hey, everone. I've requested a room on the Landmark Campus for a Write-in on Nov 2, I'm going to try to schedule the room for every Monday in November, of which there are 5 so that people can get some writing done.
The hours are 7pm -9pm, 2 good, solid hours for people to come and write.
This is a map of the campus http://www.landmark.edu/about/campus_map.html the write-in will be held in building #14 on the map, the Strauch Family Student Center. There is a cafe there where people can get coffee and snacks (cash only under $5, they will take plastic over $5 only). The room I reserved (or hopefully have reserved - I should hear back soon) is visible as you walk towards the building from the parking lot seen on the map by building #12. Parking is free and not moderated too much until around midnight, when secrurity starts getting curious.
Directions to campus are fairly easy, either tak I-91 to exit 4, get on Rt 5 (or just get on Rt 5), pass through downtown Putney, head up the hill, past the cemetary and you'll see the sign for the college. Turn onto that road and take the second left and you'll be in that parking lot.
I'll update in the next day or so to let people know if they actually gave me the room or not. I believe they will, there's no schedule conflicts or anything, but whether I can get it the rest of the month is up in the air.
