Yup! Writing an industrial age fantasy, or one third of it (!) at least!

I have the honour and pleasure to live in Caia Park, where are you from?

I'm living down in Hertfordshire now, but am originally from Wrexham and will be there for a week or so at the beginning of November, so if there are any write ins planned then, and I can persuade my mother in law to babysit, I'll be there!

Wrexham is probably the closest place to me where there'll be opportunities to meet up (there will be them, right?) though it's an hour away by car - I live by Lake Vyrnwy :-)

I'm not!

Which rather forces the question of why I'm replying at all...

I recently moved to Wrexham. Am glad to see there are other people from Wrexham here!

I was previously in Melbourne and we had NaNoWriMo meets every week, all year round there, so am hoping we can have at least one meet in Wrexham. :)

I'm planning on writing a Victorian gothic novel set in Chester of all places. I'm staying in Hightown in Wrexham half of the week, and have managed to persuade a friend to give Nano a whirl too.

So that's another two to the count! Quite suprised that there are other people in the area that are familiar with Nano, to be honest. The marvels of the 21st century, eh? ;)

No, although I fear we're the exception to the rule in Wrexham!

If I remember, the Wrexham thread last year became a list of Eagles Meadow (which I actually really like now) complaints :P

I'm from the Bwlchgwyn/Coedpoeth area.

Mr Hobo, so am I!!

Shall we have a write-in in the Eagle's Meadow Starbucks?? That could be fun! And expensive!

If you make it the first proper weekend (7/8 Nov) I'll be in town, and would love to try and stop by.

I'm writing interactive fiction this year, so it's like a text adventure game, as opposed to just being a traditional novel. It's set in a town where it hasn't been Spring for 3 years.

Sounds very original. I'm trying my hand at a industrial age fantasy quest, though that's the initial shape, though things have already popped up from nowhere!! I'm glad someone write something here, I thought everyone had suddenly decided to move from Wrexham during November!!

I'm doing a ridiculously complicated horror/sci-fi set in America featuring Santa, an Amish guy, a midget and two teenage computer nerds trying to stop Satan.

Anyone seen the giant Mona Lisa yet? XD

That sounds like a novel-winning combination of characters.
LOLZ, yeah, mona lisa ftw. my brother's school helped paint some of it. Gawd knows which part. It's actually pretty good.
Hey, you're 16! Are you in still school, or college, or...?

Hi All,
as the aforementioned ML, here's my two penn'orth.

I don't know Wrexham at all, so I can't recommend a venue, so it's over to you guys for that.

My suggestion: Wednesday 25th, 2pm, coffee shop or family-friendly pub in Wrexham centre. None of this is set in stone - it's just a way to get the ball rolling. Know a good venue? Post it on here! Can't make Wednesday? Suggest another day. Work full-time? When would suit you, then?

There are obviously quite a few of you and lots of enhtusiasm, so let's see if you can get together.

Whaddya think?
Jay

Yes, interested in meeting up in the 4th week, if still in! Costa Coffee in the cinema at Eagles meadow has plenty of room, usually pretty empty, staff nice. Opens at around 11am I think!
