Ok so how about a write-in then? There are a fair few coffee shops in Stafford that could be a good location. Starbucks comes to mind instantly and I'm pretty sure there's a Costa Coffee as well. Anybody know if they are friendly to novelists? I'm fairly certain they will be as it's a university town so camping is probably pretty common. McDonalds might be a possibility. They are friendly to laptops (free Wi-Fi) and have a nice space upstairs away from the bustle of the main entrance.

There is also Caffe Nero at the the corner of Gaolgate Street and Queensway - fair amount of room with some comfy chairs - not sure about attitude to novelists, though. May not be too bad.
