I'm in the city now but I spent the last four years in Cockeysville/Timonium and the two before that in Towson. I might venture up to some write-ins in that area. I miss the old stomping grounds!

I'm in Reisterstown - I'm happy to venture to write-ins as far east as Owings Mills/Pikesville, and as far west as Westminster. Peace, Linda

Hi there!

I'm in Reisterstown, too. I would like to think that I am an adventurous sort, so I enjoy travelling out to Write-Ins, too. (Just so long as I can be back in bed by 11 pm or so. I'm kind of sad that way...)

Have a great day!

Catonsville here, though if write-ins get going, I'd rather not have them on the UMBC campus. ;) Parking for non-students is a pain in the tush!

If there's a closer write in than Columbia I'll attend that but for write now (it's a pun...a bad one) I plan on attending that one.

For Catonsville/Ellicott City folks (and people willing to travel?) - last year, one of the MD WriMos hosted Friday morning write-ins at Faith 'n Me Bakery (I think is the name). It's a little coffee shop/bakery off Bloomsbury Avenue and has a lot of parking and table space, nice staff, good food and cheap, plentiful coffee and tea. They were very nice about us setting up tables from 9-12ish.

The Panera Bread on Route 40 near Toys R Us / across from Pet Smart is also an option, as is the Starbucks in the H-Mart center (though that Starbucks has limited seating and lots of people).

Would anyone be interested in any of those locations? I'd be happy to host Friday mornings or evenings, or Saturday late afternoons for a couple of hours. Sundays could be tricky and I can't do weeknights because I work.

I'm a Notre Dame in Charles Village, just south of Towson. Last year a few of us organized a Sunday afternoon write-in at the Ukazoo books across from Towson Town Center. I heard rumor it's starting again, anyone heard anything?

Last year we had write-ins in Ukazoo, a bookstore right across from Towson Town Center. Its a really great place.

I'm in Baltimore County on the weekends. Yay slightly complicated living situation! XD I'm 20 minutes north of Towson and 20 minutes south of Hunt Valley. And 20 minutes something else entirely of Cockeysville.

This is my first time writing for NaNoWriMo. I live in Catonsville. The write-ins sound like all kinds of fun, so I'd be interested in coming to one.

I dunno how you can be 20 minutes south of hunt valley and 20 minutes something else entirely of Cockeysville considering the proximity of the two. do you live in the twilight zone? If so, I want to move in.

I was curious to see what was up in this area (because it was where I was last year, but now I'm on the west coast).

There is a write-in group in Reisterstown, last year we met at the Barnes and Noble starting at around 6pm on Fridays I think, though that day of the week may have been different, and I'm sure it will change again this year. Anyway, the write-ins were set up to run from about 6 till 9, but people showed up straight from work often as not (so earlier and later then arranged start times) and since B&N stayed open later we tended to hang out until they kicked us out. The previous year the meetings were at the Panera Bread (just a little further down the road with free internet). I'm sure as November gets closer they'll all pop on and start setting up the meet-up times. I just wanted to tell anyone looking for a group in that area to check them out because they are an awesome crew and I'm going to miss them all this year! I'm having a hard time finding people out here in Washington State who are Nanoers... guess that means Maryland is going to knock the socks off this area's word count this year!

Good luck everyone!

Reisterstown for me too. Wasn't good about making it to the write-ins last year. But would probably give it a try this one. Ukazoo is a great place too if you haven't been there.

Ukazoo books is amazing! I went to Towson University last year and I didn't even know it existed until near the end of NaNoWriMo (almost the end of the semester).
