Okay, I couldn't help it. I'm so excited for Nano and I'm dying to know who I'll be writing with this year. What Bozeman or Belgrade people are doing Nano besides me? Is anyone an official ML for Bozeman (one of these years, I'll actually get around to filling out the form for MLs...)? If not, I'll be willing to help coordinate Meet & Greets, Write Ins, and what ever else.

Hey. I am in Bozeman and will be participating in NaNoWriMo this year. I am not a ML; just your regular, run-of-the-mill, YA writer.

I would be interested in meeting more writers here in Bozeman.

Awesome! We should look into getting a Meet & Greet together here in the next week or two. I'm usually free in the afternoons and early evenings. Perhaps getting together at one of the bookstores/coffeeshops? Any others in the Bozeman area want to call out?

This will be my third year at NaNo, I have two wins under my belt (2007-2008) and two EdMos (2008-2009) as well.

The library has warm meeting rooms, and free if you reserve one. Coffee is right across the hall, I suppose Library Hours apply.

There is a slightly roomy coffee shop on Rouse, near Oak.

Borders also has some comfy chairs, but bookstores seem to be overly warm.

You can count me in for something, email me at kcmorlock@gmail.com to make sure I get the message.

And, she looks at her feet mumbling, I really should volunteer as what is it called, oh, a volunteer.

Be Well!

I've decided to bite the bullet and do Nano again this year, too, although I have only a vague idea about my topic so far. Evenings work best for me for meetings. Julie, are you doing sci-fi again this year? ~Melanie

I'll be doing Nano this year. I may even be going the literary route this year. :o

Okay, I'll try to call up the library tomorrow and see what times they have available for their meeting rooms, so we'll look at having a get together next week sometime.

I'll try to get an evening, though I think the library closes at 8, so it will have to be early evening.

Let me know if evenings won't work well. I'll try to cater to the majority.

On the site there are NaNo posters you can print.

I printed the one with the tear off web address and it is over the water fountain at the gym.

Someone with energy and ink could put some up at a few book stores, campus, Cactus Records, I suppose anywhere there is a tack board.

Maybe our coordinator could or is contacting the paper. And radios do PSAs free for non-profits.

Just call the the idea lady, not the gofer, :)

HI I am in the Bozeman area, Livingston to be specific. This is my first actual year to participate though I have debated doing it for the last few years. Looking forward to talking with you all :)

Woo! I have themes, a basic plot, characters, and conflict. Plenty for 50k. :D

The library sounds good. I was there today during lunch and being around all the books seemed motivating. :o

Edit: Just had a thought - someone could make a post about Nano or our meeting in the events section on Craigslist perhaps. There aren't many things posted in there for the Bozeman area...

Oi... this year's nano is already going to be interesting. I'm about 14 weeks pregnant and unfortunately, my energy level has not been up to snuff.

I never got ahold of the library, but maybe hit one of the coffee shops in the afternoon or early evening.

Maybe Leaf and Bean on 19th this Thursday for a little meet and greet? Or does someone have a better idea for location. I'm open for times (plus does anyone know when Leaf and Bean closes?).

This is my first year, and I'd love to connect with other folks who are this crazy. I'm actually going to be out of town the 3rd-10th, but if anybody's up for meeting some time before that it would be great. Otherwise I'll just try to catch up with any group that forms when I get back to Bozeman.

Did anyone ever actually book something at the library? Or at one of the coffee shops? I can't tell if any actual meeting times or places have been set.

This is my first year as well and I'm looking forward to trying my hand at this. I would definitely like to get together to do a meet and greet, but like Peach, next week will be better for me.

Yes, this probably isn't a good weekend due to Halloween and daylight "reverse default credit swap hedge" time. :D

I got off to a great start this morning. I like the look of my word count already.

How does Tuesday or Thursday sound for a Write In. I remember Rockford Coffee (on 7th and Main) being a really nice place to write last year. We just took over a table and went at it. I have a power strip, so plug-ins are not a problem.

So, how about sometime between 3 pm and 8 pm on Tuesday or Thursday. Let me know when you're available and we'll get a solid time set.

Also, feel free to set up and organize other Write Ins. I'm not a ML. I just have a lot of fun at Write Ins and would be very sad if there weren't any. I'm willing to take the initiative, but feel free to set up others as well.

Keep (or start!) writing everyone, and I'll hopefully see you this week sometime!

Thursday would work better for me, but I'd love to come and join in on the writing fun. I took a couple years off from NaNo, but I'm back in this year and I'm hoping the utter unplanned silliness of my novel will keep me going!

Hey, I'm Caryn, this is my second year doing NaNo, etc., etc.
I probably won't make any of the write-ins due to the fact that I'm still in high school and therefore have things such as parents and rules to worry about, but I look forward to keeping up with everyone via forum. Good luck to all of you!

Thursday would be better and probably after business hours? I know Dragnsfire works and as we are both in Livingston., probably 6 or so before we can get there.

Hey guys. Sorry I'm so late chiming in . . . no internet at my former house, just moved into a new one, and I still haven't started writing. EEEP! Anyhoo, this Thursday does not work too well for me. Other evenings I will try to make.

I'm definitely up for it this Thursday if everyone else is. I usually get off work by 5:30, so anytime 6pm and later is good for me. Where would it be at?

Okay, Thursday, November 5 at Rockford Coffee on 7th and Main from about 5 pm to closing (since I don't know when they close...) Show up when you can, stay as long as you want (or until they kick us out).

Let me know if some of you are only going to be available earlier than that, because as far as I know, I'll be free all day and can start earlier.

I've printed out a NaNo flyer to put on the table, so look for that when you arrive if you don't beat me there. I will probably be wearing a black Colorado Avalanche hoodie.

Sweet! It has been a while since I checked in, but I guess my timing is good. Write-in tomorrow night, eh? I looked it up-Rockford closes at 8, but that still gives a couple solid hours of write-in time. I will try my hardest to be there-I want to meet some more crazy people!

Speaking of crazy, I haven't even started my NaNo book yet. *gulp* I don't write on Sundays and then life (stupid, stupid life!) seriously got in the way the last couple nights. But oh well. The words can be made up.

I look forward to seeing you crazies at Rockford tomorrow!

Hi all. This is my third NaNo but I'm getting off to a slow start with one thing or another. I'm in Bozeman but the very end...my neighbors are Belgrade and Manhattan.

I'd really appreciate knowing if there are any get togethers for writing. I completely forgot about checking in during October. And September I was on a cruise to Alaska.

OK, just shout out when there's some kind of meeting.
