Calling all Sunshine Coast residents... would love to know if you're around! I'll be moving into the region either late this month or sometime during NaNo itself. Since Brisbane will then be too far to go for write-ins, etc, let's see if we can get a critical mass together to do some stuff on the Coast!

I'm near Gympie so the Sunshine Coast would be a lot closer to me than Brissie if anything is organized for there.

I'm halfway between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. So given enough time I'm able to come to an event at either location. Depending on exactly where an event is located, sometimes the Sunnie Coast is easier to get to than Brissie.

I live on Bribie but work in Maroochydore so I'd be interested in something on the Sunshine Coast.

VP - where are you? halfway between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane sounds pretty close to me.

I'm on the Sunny Coast. I live in Chancellor Park (at the bottom of Buderim). Though with school, chances are I may not be able to get to some events!

Great! Got a few locals :) Bit hard for me to organise something right now (been organising the move, etc). Should be in the new house on Friday and then will see what we can do. I will also be in Chancellor Park, so UnderCoverAuthor we'll practically be neighbours! Everyone watch this space :)

Sounds good. The only place I can think of for a get together is the library. Unless you know of other options. If you're busy days they are open Thursday nights.

I live on the Sunshine Coast, out in Glenview (out past the Ettamogah Pub, for those who don't know). I think an event here on the coast would be great, Brisbane is so much effort and I probably couldn't talk my mother into driving me all the way down anyway. Like UnderCoverAngel (I know you by the way!!!! XD), I have school and if the event was on a weekday I probably couldn't make it. But this is such a good idea, I hope it works out.

Ok... we are in our house now... still lots of unpacking and I have yet to start my NaNo novel! But I'm keen to get a write-in organised soon, and I'm quite happy to have it at our place. Can supply caffeine and power for laptops, but alas no internet yet (coming end of the week or early next week). Currently Wednesday night is out due to another commitment, but Tue/Thu/Fri currently available! Evening preferred for me as I'll be working during the day. In Sippy Downs, quite close to a bus stop (not sure when buses run, though, they may not run in the evenings at all, but I might be able to provide transport if necessary) and not that far from the big shopping district.

So, summary:

What? Write-in
Where? 5 Creekside Drive, Sippy Downs
When? Tue/Thu/Fri night - reply with preference and I'll confirm a time!

And for those who may be worried - I'm not that scary! Last year I hosted a successful write-in at my place in Brissy and I was part of the writing & novelling groups led by Kess (miss those groups already!).

BTW anyone know of any good coffee shops in the area that may be open to hosting write-ins? I'm still getting my bearings after having lived away from the coast for 16 years...

That sounds great. I'm not working at the moment so I'm free any time. Let me know what suits you.

I'd love to meet some fellow NaNos. I am in Buderim.

Thurs or Fridays would work for me.

I reckon some of the coffee shops in Mooloolaba could work too. They are open evenings, and quite a few have large outdoor spaces so there would be plenty of room.

Maroochydore library is open til 8pm Thurs nights too.
