As some of you may know, for the last couple years (2 or 3, at least), there have been weekly meetups at the Borders across from Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. They're usually open until 11 pm, and it's a great chance for people to get together and write (or procrastinate about writing). For those of you who are interested in going, is there a particular day of the week that works for you? Personally I'm open to anything from Monday through Thursday.
Suggestions? Input? Output? Throughput? Shotput? Kaput?

I'm free most evening, although Thursday through Sunday are worst for me. Tuesday is not ideal, but not a big concern.

While not official yet, we do have a few things going on in Schaumburg... we're doing a write-in at the Borders across from Woodfield, but the Schaumburg Library also contacted us to let us know that they're doing some really awesome events this year! We'll definitely post more as the time gets closer, but just so you know :)

Let me know as soon as you guys know the day. I'll probably change my work availability so I have that night of the week off, but I'll need to give them about 3 weeks' notice.

Our Schaumburg write-in is scheduled for:
Sun, November 8, 2pm – 5pm
Where: Starbucks, 601 North Martingale Road, Schaumburg, IL 60173
If that's a rousing success, we'll do another even each weekend at that Sbux or at the Borders (we spoke with the management at the Borders and they agreed to set some tables aside for us in their cafe area in advance, but we chose the Sbux as our first meeting because they have a lovely private meeting room).

Heya all,
I'm interested in attending the Borders' meetups again, and I can make pretty much any day, Monday through Thursday, work.

Ok, Thursdays seem to be possible. Any chance you guys could go for either Monday or Wednesday (the best two days for me as well)?
@Limmenel: Thanks for the information. Unfortunately Sundays are completely out for me.

Mondays would probably be ideal for me. Thursday is our store's truck night, so they'll probably give me some b.s. about taking it off for a month.

It seems like there's no one day that's good for everyone, but most people seem to be ok with Monday. Any other suggestions, or do we go with Monday?
@smwalter: If we do go with Monday, I do hope to at least catch you out there once or twice. I may come out on a different day at some point later in the month too, depending on how things are going.

This is my first NaNo, but actually getting into Schaumburg after work would be pretty easy for me. It would be nice to be able to get with a group on a regular basis and hammer out the writing. I'd be interested in joining in if you'd be willing to take a newcomer.

Hey guys. When we were planning our write-ins, we actually went into that Borders and talked with the manager there. They said that if we call ahead, they can definitely try to push some tables together for us, although they can't technically "reserve" them. But just a heads up, in case that helps you at all or in case you think it might be busy...

Ah, that's good to know. Usually we just show up, but occasionally seating is an issue if there are too many people.
Thanks for the information though. How far in advance should I call? Just earlier that day? Or a different day?

Probably just the day before, I guess? They told us just to give them a call closer to the date to let them know that our writing group was coming in, but they said it probably wouldn't be a problem. But they can tell you if they expect it to be busy, probably.

Hi Everyone- I am brand spanking new here- just registered and found the Chicago section.
I would love to meet up with you all- but can you clarify the day/time? I am assuming right now it is Monday November 9th? Can someone please confirm day/time?
Thank you and I look forward to meeting you all.

Bah, my work is giving me crap about taking Mondays off, since we're getting close to Christmas and all. I'm not sure if I'll be able to commit to any dates until I see my schedule and know what days I have off.
