Hey,

Basically haunting the forums of Nano as I have been for the past few days, I thought us North-West-BC-ites (...?) should have a place to call our own. This year one of my friends and I are thinking of holding a gathering on November 7 at the Elephant's Ear in Terrace; let me know what you think! Good luck with your writing--even though November is still a long time away,

Erika

PS: I had to edit that sooo many times! Ugh, I'm so out of practice.

Hullo Nano '09, and a double hullo to you, Terrace! It's always nice to know that there are some fellow Terracites out there who are crazy enough to try and tackle Nano. Good luck everyone!

Reporting for duty from Terrace! I shall be writing and undertaking various other activities during November, but I'll be around, and I'll be in the BC Elsewhere IRC channel (assuming one is set up this year), when I can, so I'll be around. Hope to see others around, and certainly hope to see everyone at the finishing line!

So may replies! Yay! I'm so happy to know that other people are insane enough to attempt this! This is my third try, and will hopefully, just MAYBE be my first win. One more day :)

Man, this is no fair, everyone's already started their Nano and I still have an hour to wait! Life on the westcoast always seems to be a bit late. This is also my first try, wish me luck!

Hello all!

I've tried several times to do this before and failed...pretty badly...but this year I actually have an idea of what I'm going to write about, so hopefully it'll be different. I'd love it if we could actually get a meet-up together this year - I'm pretty sure there have been attempts previous years, but it's never actually happened... I guess we're just horribly un-proactive...

Mine's going great so far, I've managed 4.5k word crunching today. Pretty weak start, but now that I'm awake and not practically collapsing on my keyboard I'm having a lot of fun!

Hi everyone:

I wasn't going to do Nano this year (toooo busy), but November 1 rolled around and I couldn't resist. Even if 50,000 words is probably out of reach for me this year, I figure some writing is better than no writing.

I'd be interested in meeting on the 7th, if that's happening. What time is it going to be at?

Anyway, good luck with the writing!

I didn't actually expect there to BE a Terrace/Kitimat forum! :D

Well, hallu thar from Kitimat! I got off to a great start and then petered off terribly so now I'm racing my little fingers along to catch up!

This is my first year actively trying NaNo, but I have quite a few friends who I've watched do it over the years. Really, just hoping to finish if I can. :)

Hellooo, I just wanted to see how everyone is doing, now that we're into the second week. Oh, and see if anyone can empathize with me for being foolishly behind on their word count! Good luck fellow Nano's :D

Well, since there doesn't seem to be anyone from Rupert, I'm going to join your little forum!! I'm down in Hartley Bay, so no write-ins for me I'm afraid, but I'll cheer alone with you! I'm doing a big push this weekend to get back on track (only at 12,000 at the beginning of the day - oich!). At least now I'm farther than last year (only 12,000). It's stormy outside today - a perfect stay-indoors-to-write-and-avoid-all-other-work day!

Good luck everyone!

Doing alright, fighting the wordcount demon. I think I just need to get really back into the flow of it again, but I've been in a total funk for daaaays. Oi!

I think I need to get my tea and cookies on.
