Floyd here, also. Looking forward to the NaNoWriMo experience -- first time for me.

I'm in Wise County. Second year participating in NaNo. I'm so excited this year though because my 12 year old son is accompanying me!

Franklin County here also. Second year participating. Might talk my youngest daughter into coming along for the ride. I write paranormal-action. How about everyone else?

Would everyone like to get together at Edible Vibe in Rocky Mount? I know a couple of other area writers.

Not for nothing, but why does everyone always want to go to Edible Vibe? I would love to get together with other local writers, but Edible Vibe is not my thing. My loss, I guess.

I'm near Abingdon. Quick question... Why didn't our regional word count update when I uploaded mine? Sorry, I'm a newbie trying to figure this thing out.

The API isn't online just yet. Meaning, those things are not being tracked opening just yet. Everything should update once they 'flip the switch' so to speak. I was reading about this in the technical questions threads. I can't wait for the widgets to start working.

Good luck with your writing!

I'm between Abingdon and Bristol, which is about as far SW as you can get. Anyone else within 30 miles or so?

Blacksburg is a little over an hour from Rocky Mount. If you are interested, I'll send directions.

Really RM is semi-central to Floyd, Roanoke, Martinsville, Ferrum, Bedford.

I'm in Bristol. Normally I hang out in Tennessee, because there are more people in the Johnson City area, so I'm glad to see people on this side :)

i MIGHT be able to make it.
See, i'm only 15 and can't drive,
and my parents hate me so it takes a lot to get stuff from them.
I want to come, but i don't know if i will be able to for sure.
