Heh. My browser's autofill popped up with two choices when I typed in the subject for this post -- the same words for 2007 and 2008. Something to be said for consistency.

If you haven't checked out the regional info header yet, do take a look at it. We have links to our Twitter (http://twitter.com/LVPANaNo) and blog (http://lvpanano.wordpress.com), and there are statistics for how many have signed up, donated, and written (no words yet, of course).

We're looking forward to another great year of noveling and fun! Even those of us who aren't sure what we'll be writing yet.

And a hearty welcome from me, too - Erin's (and your) co-ML!

I am aliiive! What I mean by this is that I didn't have Internet at home, and then when I got it back (Saturday) I was too swamped with work and other things that I couldn't actually get online here to chat with folks until tonight, after a 13.5 hour workday.

Woohoo!

I'm so very excited about this year of NaNo, not just because of our amazingly cool (yet currently underutilized) Twitter and blog. It's 2009, I finally got my dad to sign up for NaNo (although I haven't found him on the site yet - has anybody seen my dad?), and we (Erin and me) have boat-tons of great ideas to keep things fun and entertaining.

I can't wait!

Now...where did I leave my pen?

Hi... I'm new here. I never tried the Nanowrimo before, but since I'll actually have ample time this November, I figured I'd give it a shot this time around. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing here just yet. This site is huge! I'm a little overwhelmed. I already write a horror webnovel which I update once a week. Does the Nanowrimo have to be something completely new or something already started (unfair advantage, I guess) or even something you set aside years ago?

If I had to describe what I write, I'd say horror, but with a lot of other genres thrown in. Anyone else write horror and do we have meetings like I know the fiction group of the Lehigh Valley does?

Your Nano novel is to be something new, not something in progress or a project previously started. (See the FAQ - Do I have to start my novel from scratch on November 1st?) Nano novels are to be completely new beasts, something thrown together in a hurricane of typing or writing during the 30 days of November. (See What is NaNoWriMo?)

Yes, it's messy. Yes, it's a ton of fun!

And yes, we have meetings, or Write-Ins, throughout November. Erin and I, your co-Municipal Liasons for the Lehigh Valley region, are treating the last two weeks of October like PlaNoWriMo (Planning Novel Writing Month), which means it's a little messy, not completely pulled together yet, but guaranteed to be a boat-ton of fun once it's all in place.

Welcome, Candace!

Hello everyone, I'm throwing my hat into the ring for the first time this year. Looks like this should be interesting and that there is a great community here. Looking forward to November this year for more than just the turkey :)

Well, I decided to come back and try again. I started doing Nano last year, but about a week into it, found out I was pregnant with #2. That pretty much blew my writing to pieces for a little while so I wasn't able to finish. Hopefully I can this year since the baby is here now and on somewhat of a schedule.

I'm also hoping to make it to some of the meetups this time as well. I'll keep checking back!

I've decided to possibly attempt NaNoWriMo this year, but it's already November 1st... No words are written yet. Which isn't necessarily a good thing. I haven't had the time.

Well, if not this year, then definitely next. (I keep saying that. But still.) Hopefully, I'll do it this year. :]

I've tried each of the past three years, but have yet to get to the 50,000 mark. I'm not sure if I've even made it to the 20,000 mark. But it's still fun to give it a try.

Hi everyone. Just figured out what the region tab does, so hey, I'm a bit late saying hello. Nice to meet you!
