My name is Michael and I'd like to invite any NaNoWriMos in this area to attend a get together at Avenue L Coffeehouse, 11 pm on October 31. This gives us a little time to meet and get to know one another before midnight strikes and the writing begins. There's free Wi-Fi, plenty of coffee by donation ($1 for the first cup, the refills are free!) and comfortable seating (couches, upholstered chairs, bean bags, bar high tables, etc.). I'm in charge of Avenue L and I'm a NaNoWritMos participant. This will be my 3rd year. Last year I hit 26,000 words before I took a dive. This year I plan to be at Avenue L most nights writing. We're open evenings Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 to 10:00. I'd love to meet all of you and offer to you a great place to write. Of course, I know we'll all be writing everyday and I plan to either do that at home or at some other coffee haunt when I can't come to Avenue L.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you where Avenue L is, you won't find it on a map! The address is 2514 Sam Houston Avenue, between Sonic and McDonald's (across the parking lot from The Jolly Fox). You can find us on the web at http://www.avenuelcoffeehouse.com or on Facebook (search for the group, Avenue L Coffeehouse)at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=8977540445 and even on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/avenuelcoffeehouse. Otherwise, you can call me at 936.662.3662.
See you there!

Dude! I didn't think I'd find anybody else in Huntsville doing NaNo! But then my social life is pretty close to null since I moved back...
My on-line name is Guardian, so I'll just use that here and I will totally be there. I didn't know that Huntsville even had a coffee shop off-campus except Starbucks and Hastings and I totally need a place to write where there are no books to distract me. This will be my third attempt at making the goal, and they do say that the third time's a charm, right?

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to take the bate. I'm in as much shock as you that there's somone else in Huntsville! My wife participated last year, too, so that makes at least three of us. There was a girl last year, but I don't remember her name. I'm trying to talk a bunch of folks into making the effort. So, see you on Halloween!

Most assuredly. It's nice to say I have something to look forward to. I'll ask around at work too. I've been told that the college students have their thing, but I've never actually seen proof of it.

Wow! This is getting better all the time. Counting my wife, that's four of us, so far. I hope we find more. This is going to be great!

Is everyone ready to get started? I actually just put my desk together tonight. I had to get away from the kitchen table to many distractions.
