What do you need to write, and what are you writing on this year? I like to have a cup of hot chocolate (or a mocha,) ice water, and my fingerless gloves. I have written on an AlphaSmart in years past, but this year I'll be writing on my nifty new netbook!

I usually write on my laptop, but a few months ago it started acting up and now I can't count on it to work when I need it. This year I'll be using it if it will start up, but if it won't start up then I'll be using a good old notebook and pen at the write-ins and retype them on my desktop later.

Hot chocolate is my favorite drink while writing along with Diet Dr. Pepper. I don't really like food because it's hard to eat and type at the same time!

If I'm at home, I really like using my heated blanket and playing some soft (non-vocal) music in the background.

I have a laptop that is dying a slow and painful death (we can't afford to let it go yet) but I'm hoping that my birthday wish will come true this month and I'll have a "nifty new netbook" (I really liked that one). I live on Diet Coke all the time, but especially when I'm writing and hot cocoa. Dried fruit and rice crackers are my fuel and instrumental music as my background.

I'm using my netbook for this. I have to have massive quantities of coffee and snack food. I think that may be part of my problem today. Not enough coffee. Will have to start carrying a vat of it with me everywhere.
Happy Noveling!

Jeeze, all I have is a bottle of water and a quiet house. I write while hubby is at work. Sure wish I had a laptop, writing long hand is too slow for me, drives me nuts.

Uh, maybe what you guys need is less distractions from snacks and such.

Just a thought.

Oh, i definitely need less distractions. Hopefully I can spend a day or two uninterrupted and get back on track. My word count is HORRIBLE so far. :(

HA! I have a bountiful selection of distractions to choose from - school, the kids, rehearsals, the two craft shows I''m doing this month! :) Funnily enough, this works better for me - I can work on one project while procrastinating on another. Ah, the joys of "Cross-procratination!" ;)

(Actually, on of the Wrimos who did the Q &A's last year called it "Creative Cross-Pollination," which I also loved.)
