Dear Fellow Nanos (Wrimos?) -
I'm writing this at 2:59 AM on 12 October, Indigenous People's Day (or Columbus Day if you're of that persuasion). Why am I tellling you this? Because I am SUPPOSED to be working on my story -- real story -- to take to my Critique Group. "And when does that group meet, Dale-Harriet?" you are no doubt wondering.
Seven hours from now. And you know - I should allow some time for a nap in there somewhere....... It's CLEAR that I'm in desperate need of the discipline that is the by-product of NaNoWriMo. And now. *before starting to write*, I"m going to read all y'all's messages to see if it's been written what TIME we're gathering for our kick-off in 20 days.
Twenty days. Oy vey. Seven hours. OY VEY!!
(Anyone needs help learning to procrastinate - I'm an Olympic Gold Medalist in it. Just sayin'.)

You know, they only give out Olympic medals to amatures. I, on the other hand, am a true PROcrastinator.

I like totally read all the good ones and stuff. All I have left is some sort of crappy zombie fiction or something like that... Oh, and making up a writing exercise as well.
Totally PRO status.

So: who/what is/are the critique group(s)? I take a class through the Division of Continuing Studies from Laurel Yourke. We meet a couple of times a month for a semester. We have a 2 hour class that is split between didactic content and getting our work critiqued. It works pretty well.
You?
