Hey guys, I'm hard at work compiling my Excel spreadsheet to help us pick the best dates and locations for write-ins, but I do need a bit of assistance. What I'm looking for is someone in the Monroeville area who can help 'host' write-ins. This is not as big of a duty as it sounds: I can take care of the place-finding and calling, etc., but in the event that I can't be there, I need someone who can essentially show up first, perhaps with a sign or a sticker or a nametag or a t-shirt to denote that you are a WriMo, and wave at people who come in and look like they are also WriMos, just so we have a bit of organization and can get everyone corralled into the same table area.
I'd need you to probably be able to do at least four write-ins, one a week. Last year, they were at the Borders Cafe, and I'm going to call them and see if they mind us dropping by again this year. If you are interested in doing this, please send me a private NaNoMail, and we will discuss further :)
I also will possibly need Write-In Hosts in the South Hills and Robinson, if we have enough interest. So far, our three biggest areas are City, Monroeville, and North (which is how it was last year, too). If we get some more people popping in from the South Hills and Robinson areas, I'd be more than happy to help set up write-ins in those locations, too, but again, I'll need some volunteers to help out. If you think you might be able to help in one of those areas, let me know, and I will keep you on standby (I don't want to stick you out there at a Starbucks all by your lonesome, of course!).
Still trying to come up with a Kick Off Party solution, by the way. The good news is that it's Steeler bye-week, so we will have plenty of time to get our party on :) Plan for Sunday, November 1, and of course, 12:01am after Halloween at the Squirrel Hill Eat n Park! (A more coherent list of these things will come around closer to the date, so don't fret about busting out your planner just yet :).

Robinson meetups would be great! I could look into getting the OK from some places over there and maybe setting some dates... but I've never done anything like that, so I have no idea how to start. :p
