This year, I'll be running and attending a few field trips for the region and will attempt to make them truly regional events by inviting those from nearby.

There will be three major field trips, all three to Denver, on various dates during the month. The dates have yet to be nailed down, but the destinations are set.

The three trips will be to:
The Denver Museum of Art
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Denver International Airport

The thought is that we can settle in and write at various locations around these places, surrounding ourselves with artwork or dinosaurs or a huge bustling crowd of people for inspiration.

If you are interested in any or all of these, please let me know via this thread as soon as possible. The Art Museum will be $7, the DMNS $10, and DIA will be around $5, depending on the driving situation, as we'll only be paying for parking.

I would be immensely interested in this; especially if it involves DINOSAURS. (I haven't been to the Museum of Natural History for years! And I've been meaning to go there again sometime.) It sounds like a good way of kick-starting the writing fingers by going to a new place.

I'm not quite certain on how I would get down there, though. Carpooling sounds like a very good idea, if there's a lot of interested people. (Not to mention an eco and economic friendly thing to do.)

These sound great,, I used to enjoy going to museums to work on my drawings and paintings, I hope these will be weekends, but either way how fun.

I think this is a great idea- I'm especially excited for the Museum of Nature & Science one!

Since I'm gone for a couple of weeks in November, I should probably only commit to one of these trips. I'll be out of town November 4-21 (yea I know, it sucks), so I will try to go to whichever (if any) of the trips happen while I'm here. And if you wanted to plan the Nature & Science trip while I'm here...hahaha, that'd be great, but whatever works for everyone else.

One of the Denver co-MLs here! This sounds like a lot of fun, and I'll definitely advertise this to the Denver folks once you decide on the dates.

Hi, spleen! We miss you. It'd be quite spiffy to see you at one of these field trips (though I'm planning to miss the DIA field trip, personally).

Sounds great! Just let us know when you're planning to go. Hopefully a weekend or over holiday? That would be super nice.
