^_^ No prob!

Isn't it wonderful? oh and hi Stina! LOL. A little random today. I have a sociology paper due 2morrow morning and I've been procrastinating by studying for the biology test that comes right after the paper...and the western lit class that needs my thesis tonight and of course a hundred other things-yet, my mind is stuck in NaNo mode. ^_^ Only 16 days left!

Yay! More FW'ers! lol. Glad to see you guys made it over here. This thread was a blast last year-so much fun! I can't wait to see where this year will go.

Papers and homework and done and in, btw, lol. Hopefully I can get some character bios done during fall break before I have to start cramming again. *sigh*

Oh joy...

November is almost here...it's almost here...almost... :P

Glad you made it over here! ^_^

Did you guys hear about the professional book cover thing? It was on the front page, this company that does professional book art, etc, was going to read through all the synopsis that they could and pick 30 of them and make a book cover based on that. I thought it was pretty cool-and it made me go think about hammering a few specifics together for my plot.

^_^

You would think being a writer and all, I could have come up with a cool user name like you guys. Looking forward to November and what everyone turns out.

LOL! Glad you made it over here-I was hoping you'd find the thread. ^_^ I'm kind of stuck in a username rut...if you see a scarletfury or scarletquill anywhere, it's 9 out of 10 times, me.

:P

This year is going to be great, I can just feel it. I've made a few more icons and wallpapers today. Once I figure out how to upload them, I'll post a few links. (I'm still on home inet)

Also, if someone wants a basic icon, (two color back ground, NaNo heading and short phrase) I'll be happy to make one for ya. They're about the size of the small participant icons and they can pretty much say whatever you want on 'em. ^_^

Hi, pixnpens/Tracy. Glad to have another thread bearer in this forum. Only two more days to go, then the flood of verbs will begin. Maybe a few nouns will be in the mix as well :)

ScarletFury,

I have a 12 chapter outline that I am trying to break down into smaller scenes and very brief character profiles for my MC's.
Can't believe it starts in two days!

Do you guys plan on doing FW challenges at the same time? Or just put those on hold for the month?

Cherie :)

Hi Tracy! glad you're joining us (and that you found the thread!)

Cherie, wow, that is quite a bit of work. I am very impressed! I can't get myself to sit still long enough to do that, yet I manage to sit down long enough to write out a character profile. lol.

I think some folks skip the challenge during nano, I don't, but that's mainly because I'm addicted to it an can't help myself. ^_^ I would skip it if it was just too much that week, as the WC is basically a chance to be sure that I'm creatively writing at least one piece a week, typically, I skip Friday Fiction instead, or feature a guest post.

My favorite nano-themed entry though, was this one.

^_^

Can't wait...just a few more days...*happy dancin!*

I would appreciate your prayers - I have NO IDEA what I'm going to start writing! I have three different books floating around in my head - one loosely/partially outlined, the others not at all but their stories are pulling me more than the outlined one is.

And all three are different genres.

I know exactly how one of them ends, but it's not the outlined one. LOL!

I plan to work on this a lot in the next two days, but YIKES!

Praying for all of you, too! That you're not anywhere near the basket case I seem to be! Ha!

Blessings,
Tracy

Well after a disastrous first attempt*, I finally know what I am going to be writing about. I can't believe that we are so close. I am working on character building and plotting today and tomorrow. Sunday is coming!!!

Christina

*I had a great story plotted out. It was going to be great. My husband was so proud of how hard I had been working on it, that he suggested that we take a movie break. My parents had gotten him a bunch of new videos that neither one of us had ever seen. We popped on in, and I watched my whole story unfold on the screen. It wasn't exact (the child was a boy instead of a girl - the uncle was an advertising agent instead of a lawyer) but it had all the little plot twists that I had come up with to this point. So, with a week till NaNo I had to start over. It took me several days, but I now have a completely different idea.

Well, I've got a bit of an idea, a working title and one character named. Yikes! This thing starts tomorrow and I haven't outlined anything!!!

LOL!

I know the feeling of not having anything planned, but don't stress over it. The years that I have done this, I find that the years I don't plan, the story takes on a life of its own, turning out much better than I could've planned. Of course, that's me and that is my usual method of planning to write, lol, but don't stress over that, to the point where you miss the fun of characters stealing your plot, plot bunnies giving you a headache and cramming like crazy on Nov 25th. ^_^

You'll do fine. A general idea of what you want the outcome to be is good prep, anything beyond that is bonus points for you. Don't stress. it'll be fun! ^_^
