I know it's on the calendar, but I figured I'd post too.
Every Wednesday we (only a couple of us, but we'd love more) meet at the Augusta Barnes & Noble to write (and kvetch about writing).
Also, when NaNo starts we'll be meeting on Saturdays too!
Usually there's someone there by 9:30 and stay until at least 4, if not later.
And, if anyone's interested, any other days of the week (other than those above and Sundays), people are welcome to come over to my place in Winthrop to write. Just be forewarned that I have a lot of critters and a couple of kids. The kids are in school during the day, but there's critters (dogs, cats & rats) running around the house (well, the rats aren't free range), so if you have allergies... Also, get in touch with me ahead of time so we can work out arrangements - such as directions.

Fun meeting you! I'll be trying to join you on Saturdays-Wednesdays are supposed to be for Mom and me to do different things around Maine. We were there last Wednesday, but won't always want to do that (besides, it is hard to actually do anything with Mom around)

Your mom is a blast, but I can understand not getting any work done with her around! I know I wouldn't!
But I did have a wonderful time on Wednesday! Honestly, it was just what I needed and when I needed it.
Thanks to you both!

Eyes, we'd love it if you could join us!
Just to be warned, we might be switching over to Panera if things on the web go wonky, but Panera is right around the corner from B&N.
Also, I won't be there on Saturday the 31st. The Write-Ins will be starting the following Saturday when NaNo is actually happening. I'll be out of town Halloween day, so no get together that day.
Also, don't forget we have Wednesday Write-Ins in Augusta too!
Heck, if there's another day - other than Sunday (for me) - that people might want to get together - in Augusta, or Winthrop - let me know! I work Monday and Thursday nights, but other than that and the Sunday Write-Ins in Westbrook - I'm willing to get together to write!
Now that I have wheels I'm free to get together more. Just need to know ahead of time so I can find a Dragon sitter! (That's my pup who doesn't do well all alone yet.)

I think I might try to go to some of the write-ins in Augusta! :] If I get a Saturday or something off from work, it's a lot closer than Portland and Westbrook, so I might be able to stop by on my way home.
Panera is always good. I didn't get to try any of their delicious looking food at the Westbrook write-in, so I think I'm going to stop in there sometime during NaNo to try it anyway. :D

I'm also in Winthrop, would love to see us do something around here.
My daughter (12 turning 13 in November!) is also doing Nano... She did a presentation in her 7th grade class today, showed them the YWP site, and her reading teacher was also going to show the other 3 classes, so EVERYONE in the Winthrop 7th grade has been exposed! YAY!
She doesn't have any writing buddies (besides her brother) right now, I want to bring her to a write-in, although it won't be tomorrow or on Halloween. Maybe next Wednesday, if things work out. Anyone know some good YWP kids to have her connect with as writing buddies? I made her sign up there this year, since she technically isn't 13 yet, as well as the fact that it's her first, and as YWP she set her own wordcount. (I won't let her sign up for FB until 13, either... she's really looking forward to her birthday!)
Only 4+ days left... I've been cleaning my desk in my office, trying to move back there, from the dining room where I've taken over !!! Trying to get the kitchen cleaned up, laundry caught up, and the house presentable, so that I can relax and write a book! :)

Linda - Where can we meet up here in town?
I'm sure if we twist her arm we can drag Cindy's butt in too! I just don't know where in town has outlets that we can hang and write for a few hours without pissing people off, yet still chug coffee. Also, I posted fliers in that little coffee hut (Wicked Bean?) on Royal. So maybe we'll be able to drag in a few more locals!
Britney - We usually meet at Barnes & Noble, but that might be changing due to web issues. I'll keep people up to date on that. Also, you can find my cell # through Facebook if you show up and can't find us. I will answer strange numbers during NaNo, just in case it's someone trying to find us. Also, if you show up and hang out with me Ellie's going to be jealous. So make sure you come and write with me so we can bug the Ellie!

Kendra - I saw that you usually meet in Barnes & Noble. :] Either place works for me! I was just commenting on Panera Bread because you said we might have to switch. And definitely. I'll do my best to make sure I can come down for at least ONE write-in there, and we can bug Ellie. :D I wish there was a way she could come up too! We'll definitely have to work something out!

I've got a ride up there, so odds are I just might make it. Switching won't be a big deal either, I know where both places are.
----------(edit)
I lied, it turns out my ride is too busy today. I do hope that I can make it up next week when her schedule settles a bit.

For now, until it's fixed, don't use the map link that's included with the Write-in info on the calendar -- unless you want to end up in Georgia. If you consult it, make sure you're looking at Augusta, Maine.

It's almost 9PM and I'm still here.
Not just that, but I'm not alone! There's three of us who are really pounding away at the word counts!
I'm packing up soon, but we're here late Saturdays and Wednesdays!
Please, come out and join us! Look for the Hello Kitty lunchbox on the table and cat ears on the girl with too many conflicting hair colors. Sometimes the ears are sitting on top of the lunchbox - but they're always here (hurting my head at the moment).

I've seen you before..but at Panera...long time ago ^^ I'm at home, working on my novel. Having a hard time focusing right now and my plot bugs me. I want to hit 20,000 tonight and then I have to work on the plot some more. Isn't it hard to focus on writing at B&N? I go there a lot..but more for reading.

I'm more distracted by Cindy, Asher and Jen sitting with me than the people around us. Well, except the guy who talks to his phone like it's another person - not into his phone, at his phone. I find it easier to write there without my boyfriend possibly looking over my shoulder or the kids crashing around the house. I sleep late most days, so I get very little time without bodies wandering my house. Outside the house I can get away from my domestic life and it somehow works better for me.
If another time/day would work for you, then maybe Tim Horton's. It is quieter there. We stopped going to Panera because it's so busy there during the day and the service has gone way downhill this year.
I need to call them and see how later they're open as we're thinking of doing an uber late Saturday night.
I'm around a lot, just need to know if/when people want to get together to write.

For me, being at home is more distracting than writing at Panera. My Asher is a constant distraction I bring everywhere with me, but at home I have animals, laundry, dishes, knitting projects, telephones, basic hygiene, and food preparation to worry about.

Hey, guys, sorry for missing the write-in on Saturday. I didn't even remember to host the online write-in on the message board I'm the admin on because it was just a really shitty day. I can't come Wednesday either because I'm meeting up with some classmates for supper to work on a project, but if Vanyahiril can get to the write-in on Saturday, I SHOULD be there, too.

Hey guys! So, if you're still planning on having a write-in on the 25th, then count me in. I should be in the general area, and it'd be really nice to see some of you again before this whole thing is over! We're almost at the end, I can't believe it!

Helloooooo....? Echoooo...!
Haha. I'm making my way back toward the Auburn area first thing tomorrow morning, so I'll be in Augusta around 9:30. Still just wanted to double check and make sure I know the right location.
Barnes and Noble? Am I correct?
EDIT: Okay, I know I made a big fuss about all this, but unfortunately, I'm leaving Orono later than I thought, so I probably won't be able to make it today. :(
I hope you all have fun!
