The Plaza, in the intersection of Chapman and Glassell in Old Towne Orange.
Stop by Starbucks and grab a drink, or visit the yogurt shop and get a frozen yogurt, yummy treat, if you want. Bring your treats and meet us under the trees in The Plaza for our 2009 NaNo Kick Off Gathering. Meet fellow NaNo-ites, have a little fun, and get some new ideas for staying focused and surviving one month of intense noveling.
Parking is available on the street, and in the public lots just to the east and west all along Glassell.
If the weather is nasty, we'll move indoors. Watch this space. The indoor location (if needed) will be announced here!

God willing, I will be there. I'm having a chemo treatment Monday (10-19-09) so I don't know how I will be feeling in a week. This is my first year. I will be wearing a cap of some kind to hide my balding head. (It looks like baby hair right now--kinda cute! But it may all be gone in a week.) I'm kind of shy, so just introduce yourself. My name is Linda. I am young to seniors but old to the young. (Take a guess!)

Yes! The Plaza is the little park in the middle of the traffic circle/intersection of Chpaman and Glassell.
Just look for a group of folks sitting under the trees or on a park bench. I'll wear a NaNo t-shirt and be carrying my Build-A-Muse from last year's NaNo.

I'm unfortunately a no for the kickoff. Got to go last year and had a great time but this year we were hugely popular and have parties up the yang this weekend.

It looks like we'll have great weather this weekend, so plan on meeting in The Plaza on Sunday, the 25th, for our Kick-Off gathering. We'll pick a tree and enjoy the shade and the afternoon.
