I would like to host a weekly write in in the Greenwood area. There is a Coffee shop call The Greenbean there. I talked to the manager, and while the shop is closed after 6 on most days, she said that we could meet there after hours! So it could just be a privet Wrimo fest!

Down sides are that there we be no one there to make drinks, but we can have the left over drip from the day. We can also bring our own snacks.

Another problem is that we could not meet on the same day every week because of other events being planned there, but there are also several other coffee shops in the area that we could switch to if needed.

I'm curious to know how many people would be interested in this so I can know it it's worth reserving the Greenbean or not.

The address is:
210 n 85th st • seattle, wa 98103
Time: 7-10 PM One Weekday each week (most likely)
But let me know what times are good for you.

Kevin.

I'd love a Greenwood or Phinney write-in--day of the week doesn't matter too much to me, as long as its around the time you mentioned.

Where is the Greenbean? It could be fun to have a write in that moved around, people who couldn't come one day would be able to another!

The address to the Greenbean is in my first post.

Here are the dates and times I am requesting. I think I will get them so you can plan accordingly.

Thursday Nov 5th 7-10pm
Saturday Nov 14th 7-10pm
Thursday Nov 19th 7-10pm
Friday Nov 27th 7-10pm

There is some flexibility so let me know if another time or date would be better for you.

I have new dates and times for the Write-in. They are as follows.

Saturday Nov 7th 6:30-9pm
Saturday Nov 14th 6:30-9pm
Saturday Nov 21st 6:30-9pm
Friday Nov 27th 6:30-9pm

There is also a Write-in at the Wayward Coffee shop that is just a few blocks away from the Greenbean on Thursdays from 6:30pm to close.

If there is still interest in this write-in let me know, otherwise I think I will scrap it.

The advantages to coming to this (GreenBean) Write-in are:

1. Two close by write-ins in your area. Great if you can't get enough of bing unproductive in the company of others.
2. Bring in your own food. Since the shop will be closed for normal business, we can do whatever we want (Within reason).
3. Just Wrimos. We will have the whole place to ourselves, so we don't have to worry about table space and having enough outlets.

Thanks,
Kevin

Sounds like write-ins won't be happening there. :(

Very sorry to hear about the fire at the Green Bean late Thursday / early Friday!

May I be the first of the Wayward writers to officially invite the Green Bean writers to join us down the street at the Wayward Coffeehouse (North of 85th on Greenwood) on Thursday nights from 7-9 (and possibly later, depending on how in-the-groove people are).

Wow, I'm so sad about the Green bean burning down. They have plans to start it up again at a new site. If that happens some time soon I will see if I can still do the write in. I was also thinking about doing a write-in earlier on Saturdays at the Greenwood Library, if any one is interested.

I'd be up for a trip to the Greenwood library and the wayward. Both great spots! Just say when.

I was planning on coming to Green Bean Coffee at 6:30pm today, but I'm so glad I read these posts! If the coffee shop has burned down, is there an alternative meeting place for today?

The calendar should probably be updated...

Ak. Didn't read this thread and am standing at the burnt out building ATM. Sad to hear about it! Going to look for someplace warm to write right now.

Update: short walk to the Wayward, geekylicious Firefly themed menu, tasty cappachinos and lots of outlets, if anyone else is lost in the neighborhood ATM.
