Okay, even though it's not my area, I will be up there on the 30th and the 31st. I spoke to Jensoda (who is the ML for the area) about putting something together. She said there's not enough people to throw a true Kick Off, but Augusta only had 4 people show up last year! So why not try? Nothing formal, just getting together, hanging out, getting our minds in order for NaNo, relaxing, etc.
Jensoda sent me some places that would work and so I checked them out online. I figured I'd throw some ideas out and see what stuck to the wall.
I have to be at the Samoset for lunch on Saturday between noon and 1:15, but I have all morning and a couple hours in the afternoon. Same for Friday if that would work out for people better.
And then there's Zoot Coffee in Camden or Three Dogs Cafe/Sweet Sensations in Rockport. I can find either, so if someone prefers one over the other...
So, tell me what works for people and we'll go with the best for most!
Ken

I'm not free on Saturday, and I work until 5 on Friday, but I work almost halfway between Zoot and Three Dogs. When would it be? I might be able to sneak out a little early - and I know of one other WriMo who lives about 20 minutes away - I'll talk to her, too. I would love to meet some other WriMos! I feel rather isolated sometimes.

I will be availible during any and all of those times. I'm just hanging out while my boyfriend has a convention thingie at the Samoset. So if anyone wants to get together during any of those times, I will just being hanging out bored.
I have no plans other than lunches with him and then a semi-formal dinner/dance thing on Friday eve.
That's why I opened it up to when anyone else is availible.

Sweet Sensations has four cases of baked goods. Just saying. That's enough for me to park my butt there for a good long while.
I thought about it a little longer - I would go with 3D/SS just because it's bigger and has couches and chairs. Zoot is a bit smaller and it might not be the best place for a long write-in.
Soooo I'm planning on being there around 2:00 on Saturday. We hope to see some others there too!!

2 on Saturday works for me!
I have to go to that dinner/dance thing on Friday night, so I won't be able to be there at that point.
I'll put it on the calendar and see you there!

I wish there were some way we could get a group to carpool a ride down from Bangor. :[ This sounds like so much fun!
Have fun everyone! Eat a delicious sugary treat for me!

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it, but I'll be thinking of you! And, as far as I know, I'll be at the Thursday write-in next week!

I'll drop by around two for a coffee and a quick hello, then off to get a b-day party off the ground. Besides, I need to meet my fellow Lincolnvillian.

I just got here and this place is beautiful!
The noms look fabulous! Going to have to bring something home to Stacy, the kids and my bratling.
Loving the Camden area! So pretty!

Hey. Sorry I missed this. (I'm just a few miles away.) But I'm committed to attending any and all future Camden/Rockport-area gatherings.
