Hello to all my WriMo friends! I hope you all made it back this year.

One thing I was looking into this year was possibly scheduling a write-in or two at the Burlington Public Library (http://www.burlingtonpubliclibrary.org/). If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll see about making the arrangements.

Otherwise I'll see you at Borders? What time and day would be best for everyone?

Hi! I was thinking Borders is still a good option (at least for me), and my preferred days are Friday and Saturday, probably in the evening.

Friday nights are out for me, but I could probably do Saturday.

Actually, Thursdays work too for me. I don't know why I forgot that...

Ooh! I'd definitely get together for some Burlington stuff! I work on Middlesex Street in Bedford, about 10 minutes from the Borders and Barnes area. I'll keep tabs on when everyone is getting together, and I hope to stop by!

Shall we set our first meeting for Thursday, Nov. 5, at Borders? Is 7:00 good for everyone, or should we make it earlier? Later?

And let me know about the library idea. I'm thinking a Saturday afternoon would be good for that one.

One thing about Saturdays. I think the Boston crew tries to keep from scheduling things concurrently, so it might be worth checking out their listing.

Oh bummer. I have chorus rehearsal on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the month. Oh well! If you do anything on other days I'll keep an eye on the forum :)

Thursdays at 7:00 works nicely for me at least. We should definitely work out who's bringing power strips, though; that was an issue last year if I remember correctly. I have at least 1 I'm able to bring. Can't wait!

Browsing the other forums, I noticed that the Boston group is scheduling a write-in on Friday, 11/6 for 4:00 at Borders. That means more times for people to show up and write, if we still meet Thursday. Not sure if theirs is a one-time-only thing, though.

Hello Everyone,

I am looking forward to seeing you all, has it been a year already??

I think that Borders works well- I like the option of having some coffee while we write. Where is the library in Burlington?

I have dinner plans for Nov 5th, so I won't be able to make the first write in- unless you want to do another one that Friday or Saturday.

See you soon,
Cindy

Hi all! Nice to see some familiar names, and some new! Hope you all had a great year!

I had a crazy year; a few weeks after NaNo, I found out I was pregnant...I'm sitting here now with my little 2 month old. We also moved, too.

Anyway, those are my excuses why I'm not planning to write 50k this month. I know, I'm totally lame. I'm planning to write a short story or two, or maybe do some rewrites on last year's novel, or if I get some amazing inspiration in the next day or so, get a start on another novel.

I'm still hoping to hit a write-in or two, and I'm cheering you all on!

Sally

So I guess it's Nov 5th at 4, then? I may be a bit late since I'm coming from school in Brookline, but I will be there.

And congratulations, Sally!

edit: 7 o'clock... I don't know why I wrote 4... I won't be late now, though!

Unfortunately I can't go to the first write in on Thursday due to it being my final class in the course I'm taking. I hope I'll see you all on the following Thursdays though. Also, since I live in Burlington, a write in at the library would be cool as well.

The Burlington Public Library is located at 22 Sears Street, just off the Town Common beside the Police Station. The Common is bordered on the west by Cambridge Street (Route 3A) in Burlington.

To get to the Library, take Route 128 (I-95) north or south to Exit 33, and turn at the end of the ramp onto Rte. 3A north. Pass 2 traffic lights, and turn right at the third traffic light onto Bedford Street. Take your first left onto Center Street, and the first right after that onto Sears Street, just past the beige clapboard Police Station. The Library is a modern brick structure with parking available on three sides of the building.

Okay, let's get a head count of who's likely to be there tonight. It's at Borders, in the Wayside shopping center, at 7 PM. I'll be the one with a messenger bag with lots of buttons on it.

What happened last week? I showed up at Borders around 7:30 and didn't see anyone. I hung around for a while in case anyone showed up, but no one did, so I left.
I hope we're still on for this week. I'll try to be on time.
