I've made a post/posts like this every year and have only had success one year (the year before last) with meet ups, but I figured I'd give it a go anyway.

I live in Colchester and would love to try and do a meet up or more sometime over the next month. Unfortunately my laptop has numerous issues (...and I'm not quite sure where it is at the moment) so it's not 100% reliable (I'd say it's about 60% reliable), which means that I would either be writing by hand at these write ups (which would suck for word wars -_-) or I'd just need to be at a place with easy computer access (i.e. a library).

I'm willing to drive to the Crystal Mall in Waterford and meet up at the big book store in the plaza (not the one IN the mall), but my number one preference is really somewhere in Colchester. My main issue is that my work schedule varies, so I never know until each Friday when I'm going to be available to do anything.

So...yeah. Anyone from/near Colchester that's willing to do a meet up or two sometime this month? If we want it to be a big thing, I'd probably need to put in for it off which means giving two or more weeks notice of needing the day off, depending on when it is. This week is kind of good for me, for example, but at the same time I'm not 100% certain at the moment. For example, I put in for Saturday off because I'm supposed to babysit and then take the kids I'm supposed to babysit trick-or-treating but right now everything is up in the air with that and I'm not sure what's happening yet. I probably won't know anything until it gets closer to that day.

Okay, I'll stop rambling. But...anyone interested?

Hey there I live in Lebanon we can do mini meetups to accomodate your unpredictable schedule. By your post you seem sufficiently neurotic to turn out good writing, I mean that in a good way. Nothing wrong with the good old craigin, is there?

That sounds cool. As for meeting up at Craigin, definitely not as far as I'm aware. I've never had to use their computers for anything before but I can at least see what happens when we go to meet up and I can try to find my laptop and get it ready for just in case it actually works and I can't use one of the computers for some reason.

I'll know on Friday what my schedule for next week is, so hopefully we'll be able to figure out a good day to meet up. What time of day is generally good for you? If it's on a day that I have off, generally after 12:00 should be good.

Hey, I'm in Colchester, and Craigin's computers aren't bad. I'd probably be able to do a write-in or two.

I'm going to be there a lot earlier than 7:30 if anyone wants to come earlier than that- my old high school English teacher is getting there for around 3:45, 4:00 so I'll be there around 3:30 on Wednesday. If my teacher leaves at some point before 7:30 I'll probably leave for a little while to get something to eat but otherwise I'm going to stay until 9:00 or whenever people don't feel like sticking around anymore.

Bit of an update:

My high school teacher can only stay until 5:00, so I'll probably stay until she leaves unless someone else comes before then. If no one else comes, I'll come back at around 7:00, maybe even earlier, to sit around until 7:30. I don't really remember what the layout of the upstairs is, but I'm going to be upstairs and am going to try and find a table close to the stairs so that you guys can see me. I'll be sitting with a laptop (hopefully- assuming it cooperates) and a Maceys box that I've made a sign to tape onto so that you guys know that it's me.

Basically if you see a girl with (hopefully) a laptop and brown hair and glasses, that's me. XD My sign says "I'm from NaNoWriMo! (I'm AWritersFantasy on the board)"

Well, I was going to try to come, but it looks like it is not going to work out. Maybe another time.

Sweet! I have to check and see what day(s) this week are good for my (old) English teacher for a meet up- we talked about meeting at the Starbucks in Colchester this week at some point. I've made a group on Facebook for figuring out when we want to meet each week if you're interested and have an account. If you don't, you can just send me a PM here or email me at the email address for the group, which is here.
