I'll be in Helena for much of November so if you plan anything let me know. Also, I don't know the town at all so if you know of any coffee shops, bookstores, or other locations that make for good NaNo sessions, please let me know.

I'm in Helena. Looks like there's not very many of us here!
If you're looking for a good place to write in Helena, my top pick would be the General Mercantile coffee shop. Lots of quiet, cozy corners. There's also a couple of Starbucks and Fire Tower Coffee isn't too bad. The library has a spot to hang out and do some work in their lobby, too. But definitely check out the Merc, best coffee in town and the best atmosphere, too! It's in the first block of stores downtown on Last Chance Gulch, left hand side, 413 N Last Chance Gulch.

Doesn't look like there is many of us. But if you're interested still, we can set something up. Maybe towards the end of the month, to give each other that push to finish! But I have not tried Merc coffee yet, so that is something that is going to go on to my list of things to try. Thank you!

Hey, guys, I live in Iowa now, but I used to live in Helena. I'm basing my urban fantasy, or should I say rural fantasy, in Helena and the surrounding area.

The few...the proud...the Helenans! Woohoo! Yes, the general merc is fantastic. I went there Friday afternoon and it was packed....sucked.
Does anybody go to the writers groups that meets at red atlas or the library?
