I finally know what I'm going to write about. Yay, I say, and breath a noisy sigh of relief. Now that I know what I'm writing - I want to get started! I'm seriously considering starting at 12:01 a.m. on November 1st. Not only am I anxious to begin but I want every available moment to me.

So, do you know when exactly you're beginning the writing process? Or will it simply be 'sometime' on Sunday?

Well, I would start at 12:01 with you (which was the original plan), but I'll be gone Halloween night at a concert. So, unfortunately, I'll have to begin on Sunday morning. Hopefully I won't be sick like I was yesterday, which caused me to miss the Meet and Greet =(

On the stroke of midnight! Probably accompanied by EPIC music. :) Depends on what the others want to listen to--I'll post a vid afterwards.

Hi All,

I haven't decided for sure yet. If I'm awake, I'll at least put in a few words at 12:01. If I'm not, I'll probably start around 5 am Sunday morning, because that's when I wake up anyway, no matter what time I go to bed - even on weekends!

Can't wait to see everyone at a Write-In!

Happy Writing!

Oh, gosh - whenever I get up that morning. Can't mess with the sleep schedule - I have insomnia as it is! :P

12:01 AM? You are so my people. I will be a Halloween party, and I'm bringing my laptop with me. And I'm going to make someone take a picture or video of me as I type the first words. Okay...getting excited...I'm gonna go take some deep breaths. Happy writing all!

Having a Halloween party at my place, but I actually may break open the laptop mid-party and bang away... perhaps the "liquid muse" might even help me! LOL

Have a great opening day everyone!

Do we get more out of Sunday this year?

Isn't it the 25 hour day?

If you are up from midnight to 2, then you get to "Fall Back" to 1 and have a whole extra hour of typing....

Too much for me though. I'll tackle the words when I wake that morning...

Is this weekend the time change? I didn't even know that. So, thanks for talking about the '25 hour day'. :)

The time change happens on Sunday this year? Dagnabit, it feels like it changes every year, I don't know how you people keep track of it.

I'll hopefully be starting at 12:01 also! I'll be at a convention, but it's the dorky kind, so sitting in the hallway with a laptop is a rather common occurrence. Last year at this event my friends set up an impromptu dance party in the hallway. Maybe this year we'll follow that up with an impromptu write-in!

Assuming Maes has come up with a plot by then...
Also, I probably ought to start my outline. But cohesive plot is completely optional! (of course)

I am so excited to begin my first NaNo! I'm currently working on my outline and hope to begin first thing Sunday at 1201am. The time change works in our favor! An extra hour to write? YES! :)

Kristeh:
I'm guessing that Maes is your Muse, yes? :) Nice name. And an outline? A Plot? Oh please! All I have is a Character and a few simple facts about her... and names I'd like some characters (who haven't been created yet) to have. My muse has asked me to patiently wait until the start of NaNo for all that information.

Writing with Reckless Abandon? Yeah, that pretty much sums up my November Adventure. :p But I'm not nervous, which is an odd/nice feeilng.

Write by the seat of your pants.. Outlines? We don't need no stinkin' outlines!
:P

The time change is always on a Sunday. But Daylight Savings time was extended, so now it ends in Nov instead of October.

It's been really hard to resist writing! My completed romance is being queried, so I'm between projects until NaNo starts.

I hope to start writing in the morning when I get up! I'm turning off Twitter, my forums, my Google Reader... and just want to write while the kids are watching a little Sunday morning TV. Then, at night when they are down... and at nap time.

I'm excited!

I feel like I have low expectations of myself though so I'm really nervous.

I totally intend to be up at midnight to get started. I've been itching to get started and can't wait. I intend to waste the day playing video games to get it all out of my system before I have to devote all my free time to writing.

I'm hoping to still start writing tonight at 12:01. However, I've been really sick the past couple of days and still have Trick or Treating to do with the kiddos tonight. So, maybe I'll take a nap when they go to bed and then get up to start at midnight. We'll see, I guess. Still so hyper to start, though!

We have a Hallowe'en party at our place, but at midnight I'm going to sit down at the computer and at least get a few lines written so I've started. After that, I'm not sure, but I'd like to greet Monday ahead of schedule and have 5000 or so down.
