Who's on board with the latest wacky social-media fad? I've been 'tweeting' as the kids say for the better part of the year, ostensibly to take advantage of linking people to new blog posts and such, but mostly because it's nice to have a readily accessible spot to toss out brief observations. The 140-character limit is ideal for efficiency: no need to get wrapped up in a big ol' LJ entry that sucks away my time when I should be writing books.
Some accounts I think are useful to follow:
SimonBob (hey, that's me!)
NaNoWriMo (this crazy thing where you try to write a novel in a month... oh, wait.)
Dr. Wicked (maker of Write Or Die, which incidentally has a new desktop version available)
3-Day Novel (the other crazy book-writing event I've participated in)
ByTowne and Mayfair Theatre (the best darn movies in the city)

I've been using
TwitterFoxEchofon (blugh, can't believe they changed the name.) It completely changed how I used Twitter -- it's a lot easier to have it on the corner of my browser than to have to log into the website all the time.Incidentally, I lied about the new version of Write Or Die at the party last night; it really does cost ten bucks. Looks like a worthwhile tenbux tho.
