Just wondering how many others are writing from my area besides the people I know from college. I'm trying to schedule some write-ins, and you know what they say about the more, the merrier!

I live in Cornish and Lebanon's Panera and Borders (as well as the Dartmouth Library are all in easy driving distance (as is the Dirt Cowboy Coffee shop).

I actually live in Bradford, VT, but work in Hanover. Not at the college, though I am an alum ('00).

Sweet! I'm an alum too ('09)! Also working at the College, but only this year. Since NaNo starts on a weekend this time, we might as well take advantage of that and get ahead the first day to help make up for the inevitable falling behind during the workweek. Either of you interested in meeting up on Sunday? (My friends and I are unfortunately limited to Hanover by lack of cars.)

Bradford is a "HIKE" from Lebanon. I'm going to try and get to Panera on Saturday and Sunday (likely after horse chores and recycling).
I'll be the WiMo working on a MacBook with coffee close to hand (Panera is more likely than Borders).

I can meet in Hanover (rather than Lebanon Panera) on Sunday. Dirt Cowboy work for Hanover folks? Anywhere else that might be better? EBA? Bookstore?

In my experience, the Dirt Cowboy can be awful to find a seat in, especially on Sunday with lots of procrastinating diligently studying students around, and the tables are miniscule. I think the Dartmouth Bookstore is slightly better, but again, I'm worried about table availability. What about Howe Library? It's open 1-5 tomorrow.

I forgot about the loitering/lingering/sitting-for-a-long-time students at DCowboy and Bookstore. The library has many quiet places and if there are many of us, we could ask for a room downstairs or work in the library's cafe.
1-5 works for me - though with horse-chores, I'll probably not be there the whole time.
What say other Upper Valley Folks?

Well, I'll be there at any rate.

EDIT: I'm at a table off to the right of the entrance, behind some shelves. Look for a girl in a white sweatshirt and a guy in a gray T-shirt.

Okay, I live in Vermont, but I go to Hanover all the time for various stuff. I just subscribed to this thread and maybe I will meet some of you soon.

Cool, hi!

Anybody want to do another writing session this weekend? Suggestions for times?

Well, I've talked it over with my wife (who has won NaNo before, but isn't joining in this year), and here's my plan for tomorrow:

I'm going to be helping a friend wire up the porch he's adding to his house (in Lebanon). Hopefully, we'll get that done around lunchtime. Regardless, any time I have left over will be spent camped out in the Howe library until about 4 or 4:30. No guarantees on what I'll be wearing, but I expect I'll have my dark blue ball cap on (says "Hypertherm IS Team" on the front). Black IBM laptop.

If anyone cares to join me, you're welcome to. :-)

Good luck! I wish I could be there, but I have a work commitment most of that time.

This weekend, anybody? Also, I think it'd be really cool to have our own Night of Writing Dangerously on the same night, like moral support. Anyone up for that?
