We have two nice universities up this way and yet, I haven't seen anything from anyone in this area. Which makes me nervous.

While I live in Pittsburgh on the weekends, are there any other writers that will be up in this area? I'd love to attend the Cranberry event, and I probably will, but there aren't many other options for those of us who are at least an hour and a half away from Pittsburgh. :/

So if you're up in this direction, I'd love to find somewhere to plug in and type away with some collegian support. I mean, seriously, kudos to all of us in writing intensive programs at our respective schools plus NaNo. It's going to be intense.

Get back to me. :)

I go to Westminster! It's not too far, on the other side of 79. Though my issue is that I don't have a car on campus, so I'm kinda stuck here. :\ Though if anyone were up to coming here, there are plenty of little nooks to hide away in and write!

I'm here in Butler during the week, Pittsburgh on the weekends. We'd love to have any of you who can make it to the Cranberry meetups, as they're usually very, very tiny. :)

Other than those meets, I'll be wandering around Butler M,T,Th and Fri. Wednesdays I have classes (getting gen eds out of the way at community and then transferring in to SRU in another semester, most likely) until late in the evening, so I won't be able to meet anyone then.

I'll be at the Cranberry meetups whenever possible. Definitely this coming thursday.

Good luck! I wish I could transfer out. It has a great program, but I hate being so far from home. :/

~Imilanak, I could drag a friend up to Westminister a few times, if you'd like. It's about 30 minutes from here.

I go to SRU, but I live in Butler. Unfortunately I don't know what kind of free time I have to do any meet ups, I do most of my writing at work! It's nice to sit at a computer 8 hours a day!

I'd say that you'd be surprised how many people live in Butler, but I imagine you wouldn't be. I live in Slippery Rock, but I spend my weekends in Pittsburgh. So I even things out.

If your workplace has any openings, let me know? ;) I'm kidding. Kind of. Jobs in SRU are impossible. I'd love a computer job. For real. So consider yourself extremely lucky.

As for meetups. If the time should ever arise and you find yourself looking for someone to write with, I'm here monday through friday. And I'd be more than happy to write with you barring it's a wednesday night. I have class until 7:30pm. Nice to know I'm not alone up here!

~Stevie: I'm not sure if I would have time this coming week to write. What I've been doing is getting up an hour earlier and writing most of my goal word count then, and finishing whatever's left in bits and pieces during the day. I'll let you know if my schedule frees up.

Don't worry about it. I just figured I'd offer. If you ever feel like going to Cranberry, I could give you a lift. I know that if I were stuck somewhere and wanted to attend something, I'd appreciate someone offering to me. So I figured, since I have a car, I'd offer to you.

Regardless, keep me updated if you ever want to do something. I literally don't do anything up here and a drive is greatly welcomed. I actually got 'lost' when I was trying to go to King's at the Outlets and drove to the point of a turnoff toward Mercer or New Wilmington. I was tempted to find my way, but it was almost dark and I figured I might not find my way back. Regardless, I'm more than happy to meet up whenever you have time. It's nice to write with other people--people who understand what we're doing, at the very least.

I go to Allegheny, which is a bit more north than Slippery rock and Grove City. But it's nice to see others from nearby schools as well! But yeah, if anyone wanted to have an "Epic Colleges North of Pittsburgh" Meetup, I would be in. The only problem is that I don't have a car :( lol
